What did you do today?

I was at the San Bruno BART parking garage (Connected to the San Bruno PD  )

Strange looking dude was walking closely behind me (which I hate) so I stopped. He passed and slow walked, When we got to the elevators he got on one and I decided to take the next one....there are 3. The other 2 never came down. When the original car came down I started to board and the guy was hiding all the way in the front corner....I didn't even see him until I got on...I immediately got back off and took the stairs. On weekends the garage is empty and non reserved spaces on level 3 are the only spaces needed. When I got to level three he was standing at the top of the stairs. His hands never left his jacket pockets the entire time. I just stood there and stared at him. I decided if he flinched I was going "all in" we stared about 10 seconds (seemed like minutes) then he turned and got back on the elevator. May have been nothing....felt like something though.

That was definitely something. I hate it when jackasses mess with you like that. Maybe he intended to stick you up, but when he realized you were wise to him and ready to fight, he just decided to be passive aggressive, some way to save face in his criminally oriented mind?

I had a similar thing happen to me in London. That incident did involve a gun being pointed at me, and it scared the shit out of me. I had the shakes for hours afterward. Still don't really know what to make of it. Whenever I think about it, I just thank the powers that be that nothing more than that happened.

That is odd alright!

Took my electric lawn mower to the shop ... may be two weeks before I get it back. Thankfully it didn't die until I was 99.99% done. And thankfully I did a low cut this time, so maybe the grass won't get too tall before I get the mower back.

you won't have this kind of problems in states with strong gun rights. just saying.....

Shampooed carpets today......put up signs on the door(s)...to "wipe ur dirty shoes/feet"...and "take off ur shoes at the doorway"....*sigh*...don't think it's gonna work, tho.'...Threw all the boys shoes on the patio...jeez! the smell...(HAHA)...our shoe basket by the door is always FULL....Seems they have shoes for every day of the week, and are always saying...."I need another pair of shoes".....and the fussing about "who got the last new pair"....Think I'm gonna get my fishing rod and take off fishing for a few hours....Maybe I'll catch a pair of shoes out there.

Two more to go for final tests!!! from tomorrow and Wednesday! :)

fortunately... the battery was dead. OYE OYE OYE! I did brace for it and I was puzzled why it wasn't working. I was hoping to feel what 10,000 volts feels like!

Well I can tell you that! You feel more dead than you've ever felt in your life!

I went to work and I had a dead hen clog, a belt tantrum, poopy eggs, and I fell through the slats not once but twice. Yeah it feels like a Monday, man.

Anyone can be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Without a gun.

Just saying...

I was wishing I had one of mine yesterday. Probably a good thing I didn't though because I believe I would have drawn it on the stairs. It was a tense situation.

what's your poison?

I have to admit I probably feel better than you do right now! It'll take about 7-10 days to feel somewhat normal again. Believe it or not, you've probably added some muscle to your legs. I can tell you the biological reason for your legs feeling so sore but I'll spare you the boredom of a biology 101 lecture. :giggle:

I think you need to take it easy this weekend.

Yesterday, we relaxed. My 2 brother's called my mother and also her 2 brothers called as well. We all 5 went to visit MIL at the nursing home. Then came home to relax more. I baked a cake, made hubby's ham salad for this week and made chicken cacciatore' for dinner.

Today, haven't done much, got hubby off at 6am, cleaned the litter box, sorted and have done 5 loads of laundry with another 8 to go, made lunch and have the pork marinating for dinner. Now, having issues with MSN as they have blocked my hotmail and messenger since it was hacked into. I may just create a whole new user profile. We use the hotmail for hubby's email.

Today, I submitted the grades for the last class I taught at Purdue, then I went to campus to take care of the last orders of business: I picked up the hardbound copy of my thesis from the printers and deposited it in the English graduate library. Dropped off all the library books I've had checked out for the last three years. Then I cleaned out my office and desk. As I went through the stacks of old student papers and portfolios that had been sitting there the last three years, I found myself reminiscing on the students and classes. We had some good times, and there were a lot of bright young minds that passed through my class. It makes me feel better about the direction of the world.

Lastly, I dropped off my keys and hugged the secretary in the department office. I'm outta here!

so long and good bye!

Sounds like it's been a bittersweet day. But I bet you are glad to be moving on.

Oh I must add to my list - I got electrocuted today. I never felt so dead in all of my life!
