What did you do today?

My mother and brother have been visiting for the last few days, so I've been busy hanging out with them. Today we went to Indianapolis and went to the Kurt Vonnegut Library/Museum and the Eiteljorg museum. Three years I've lived in Indiana, and this was the first time I've been to downtown Indy. It was a really cool area. I never knew what I was missing! :(

Isn't it funny how we will live in an area and never see the attractions until someone comes to visit us from out of town?:giggle:

Yeah, but it does make some sense because I like to go to places with others, not alone. Having family visit is a good opportunity to explore. I'd rather discover new and cool things with them, rather than show them places that I've already been to. But at the same time, I do wish I had gone to downtown Indy more.

It usually takes visitors to make people visit "local" attractions. I've lived in DE for 40+ years and there are still places around here that I have not yet taken the time to visit...since I can visit any time.

I recovered from a fall at 4:30 this morning. Nothing broken or fractured, just very sore. Chalked out the floor plan in the garage where I could so hubby could visualize the rooms we will have, cooked corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and mixed veggies for dinner, completed some paperwork for hubby to get into an apprenticeship program for air conditioning and now I am here. Have to make a quick run to the drug store for daughter.

Did he convert because of marriage to a catholic woman? Sometimes it's the reason they converts.

If Prince William was to marry a Catholic girl, he would be barred from inheriting the throne.

No, he never married and never had any children. :aw: He had several personal issues that were not conducive to this.

Sorry about that fall. Take care of yourself.

Understandable. I'm the same way.

Went to "The City" again. Was going to surf but it was raining when my workout was done. Weather.com said rain all day. I jumped on the BART and went to SF. When we emerged....SUNNY. Oh well I walked the city and had a great dinner. Then hit B&N for some reading.

Yesterday, my hubby, son, and got invited to my brother's girlfriend's family Easter gathering at her grandfather's farm in PA. It wasnt your typical run of the mill farm...it was 220 acres of beautiful land that is no longer used for farming. My brother's girlfriend's grandparents take care of the grounds very well so it was like a whole park to ourselves with a good sized creek.

So, we played softball, frisbee, and hiked for 5 miles. Today, I am dying from being so sore. LOL

Went out for a jog. I'm trying to get my summer body back.

Forcing myself to go to the mall soon to pick up a black dress for my best friend's wedding.

Then starve myself for the next few months so I can save up $$$ for my plane tickets back to California this September. (I'll eat, just no more fancy food. Don't worry.)

Yesterday, didn't do much. It was Easter as you all know, and also my dad's 50th birthday. We had a nice big lunch, and dad opened his gifts. The rest of the day was pretty low key. My sister and I watched Love & Other Drugs, then I went on a couple quick errands. Came back, had left overs for dinner, and watched a few episodes of Criminal Minds. Went to bed around midnight.

This morning...well, I should say afternoon, I woke up at noon! I slept a pretty solid twelve hours. Haven't done that in ages, and I'm surprised that I did because it wasn't like I was super tired or lacking on sleep or anything. Strange...

Pretty soon I'm going to have to install my window AC unit in my bedroom. It's an attic room and doesn't have central air going up to it. I feel like I'm sitting in a sauna now. The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the stinkbugs - my room is like a beacon for them. Sigh. I'm going to caulk and tape up the ever-loving sh*t out of my windows this year though.

That's a cute bridesmaid dress! It's one you can wear at other times, unlike some of those ugly bridesmaid dresses that get thrown in a closet and fished out 30 years later for rags.

Yes, that was my friend's goal! To have us get something that we'd wear again. Thank god.

Seems that that's becoming a more common trend. Maybe brides-to-be saw the error of their ways after seeing the movie 27 Dresses. :P

Well - today, I have made a trip to the tag office, got my handicapped hanging placard for parking, went to the A/C Apprenticeship school to drop off hubby's application and such, went to drug store for mother, grocery store for family, GameStop for son, Wendy's for MIL and bank for MIL. Also, vacuumed and dusted the living room, and swept and mopped the kitchen and 2 bathrooms, changed out the litter box and I think that's it.

You have been busy!

We spent yet more time at the vet. Millie the cat is still not doing so hot. We had her x-rayed to see if there was something inside causing her problems. No. (Which is good!)

Other than that, I enjoyed a nice afternoon outside. We took the cats out with us.

I am thinking about getting a screened in gazebo type screen room and being able to take the cats out for that. Sammy keeps falling off the window sill trying to "chase" the birds.

 So does one of my cats :)

We live in a very secluded area so it's generally safe. I will not leave them outside by themselves, so they only go out when we do.

I have seen those screened gazebos too, even screened "tunnels" for cats. Foster and Smith carries those tunnels, I think.

Errand day....Ugh. HA cleaning, batteries, groceries, got my pic taken for BART discount card, haircut (just a slight trim) signed up for classes next quarter. cleaned out truck to be shipped off. Did some shopping now off for some night time lifting and Whole Foods Market.

2 days without beach does not a happy me make. Beach tomorrow rain or shine (supposed to shine)
