What did you do today?

Today is Good Friday.

So I stayed home and slept in. Watched DVD and hanging out online. Nothing exciting.

Wondering if I'll abstain from eating meat today. It's a Catholic tradition not to eat meat on Good Friday.

Technically, I did not eat meat - I ate fish. BTW I'm not Catholic. I don't think I could ever hack it as a Catholic.

Hate fish, so won't eat one!
LOL, I bet lots of people won't like being Catholic either. I was born into the Catholic Church and never liked being in one plus I don't approve of their polices including the Pope. Fortunately, my family converted to born again Christian, so it's our choice to eat eat or not on a day like today.

I had an uncle that converted from born-again-Christian to Catholicism during his 50s. He never went to a Catholic church growing up so he was a rare case. Usually you see more Catholics converting over to Protestantism, and not the other way around.

Did he convert because of marriage to a catholic woman? Sometimes it's the reason they converts.

If Prince William was to marry a Catholic girl, he would be barred from inheriting the throne.

I went and had my blood tests done, drove to the tag office and there was no where to park and the road was backed up. Went home and hubby and I met with a contractor for the garage conversion. Then went to the store, fixed dinner then went to Home Depot to look around and do price comparison with Lowes.

Went to PA to visit my best friend and my allergies just got sooo bad so I was so miserable but did my best to have a good time. I had to take a nap there before driving back home since it was a 2.5 hour drive one way. On the way home, the weather was horrible...blowing winds and heavy rain. I am just so happy to be at home wearing my warm pj's with a glass of wine. Now, undwinding on AD before I go to bed.

I was raised Catholic, but with a Jewish mother, I don't think I was ever, even as a child, a practicing Catholic. So I ate meat today.

Gawd, I hate allergy season! Glad that for me it doesn't last long. We've had cold winds and rain all day today, and they are predicting the same all through Easter Sunday. So much for the outdoor egg hunt for the kiddos!

I was baptized Catholic but never practiced it. So, I had meat today.

Done with early morning workout. No time for punching people in the face today. Off to the city now for Earth Day Fest.....adios

My mother in law is in town. Got the house all spic and span for her visit. My oldest son has a baseball game today so it'll be nice for her to see him play. I'm just grateful I'm working tonight- I'll get some space ;-)

Went to work at my 2nd job to find out that there had been a scheduling screw up so I ended up not working at all. They wanted me to work two hours just for driving and showing up and I said, "Nah...save your money. Not worth for me to put down 2 hours on my next paycheck." AT $10 an hour ...that is only $20 before taxes for my next paycheck. I would rather go home and not get paid at all. Dont need the money anyway. So I had a nice day with my son and brother.

Wirelessly posted

I slept in and felt sooo good :D I am with mom and granny. Here waiting at the beauty salon for granny to fix her hair and we are off to do some shopping.

I am so exhausted and sore. I have made trips to WalMart, Home Depot, Lowes and Home Depot again as well as a dollar store. The Home Depot and Lowes are just to get ideas of prices and styles of the appliances we want as well as doors and windows.

Woke up late. Watched some videos for listening exercises and watched a movie. Tinnitus didn't come back all day long! F- Yes! :)

Worked out, Earth Day festival (great fun, neat people and some good new ideas) had an incredible lunch atthe festival and an even better dinner at The Plant Cafe on the water front, hugged a cute stranger (and I liked it) . Now at San Bruno Hooters for beer, Sharks and A's.

My mother and brother have been visiting for the last few days, so I've been busy hanging out with them. Today we went to Indianapolis and went to the Kurt Vonnegut Library/Museum and the Eiteljorg museum. Three years I've lived in Indiana, and this was the first time I've been to downtown Indy. It was a really cool area. I never knew what I was missing! :(
