What are you thinking about Part VII

I think every one is getting a little pooped out, oops I mean Poped out. Lovely that he came, but....all Pope all the time! Enough already. I'll bet he feels the same way, must be exhausted, and he's not done yet.

Can you see tornado in distance..
Dereck is it possible you can mentor someone as Reb says.it awful when feel down like that.Is now the time you could travel somewhere else in America if got no ties where you are.i don't want patronise but what about having an adventure I did and I was lot older than you.You don't need pots of money just enough for travel ticket

I like Pope.First one ever that lives in real world kind gentle man

Hurricanes in SC, sure but how prevalent are tornadoes there?

Hurricanes and tropical storms can easily spawn tornados. I think there's a low off the coast that was affecting the southeast coast.

We regularly have tornado warnings....but so far, I've never seen one in my city....a few on the other side of town with slight damage....

To add onto every Reba said in post 5531...

Another thing that you can try to do is Volunteer work... look for something that you can do that they'll pretty much leave you alone. I go into the city once or twice a week for a couple of hours to help with computer filing (they're backlogged I suspect-- still lol)- boring tedious but I don't mind and it frees up time for the staff there. They leave me alone, I don't get wiped out from social interactions (deaf and introvert) and it's a nice feeling to be doing something at least.

(Reba- your post is excellent- mirrors my experiences... I wasn't "unpopular" but was never exactly in any sort of 'clique' or closeknit groups in high school. Did a bit in college but you can still feel like an outsider sometimes :) So I turn to books and now tech devices/PCs lol).

Found out that last night's tornado was an EF2, 130 mph, and did a lot more damage than first thought. Still, no injuries, which is amazing since no one has basements or shelters.

I believe you posted that there were warnings out. From what they say when there are those kinds of storms here in So. Illinois I think that really made a difference. Even if basements and shelters are rare (I feel there are probable a few basements here and there and don't take what you said as literally none but as a general rule) it would get people inside and on the lowest level they do have.

I would not be surprised that there are NO basements where Reba lives. As far as I know, there are no basements in FL either. Consider the land the houses are built on.

Thinking about this being the last night I sleep in this house. Been here 8 years.

My daughter was on a working field trip today to a beach in Ireland. Everyone left there backpacks in the work van. Someone broke in a stole all of their bags. I feel horrible for my daughter, she is in the process of moving so she had a lot of important stuff with her. Her prescription glasses and sun glasses were in her bag and they got her wallet with California ID, Irish ID etc. Some of those are going to take a long time to replace. Her glasses were made here on her last trip home.

How horrible ! I am sorry to hear this. That almost happen to a friend and me years ago at the beach . We left our pocketbooks in the car and covered them up and we got back to the car later in the day someone had tried to break in by prying the door open. People watch what you're while leaving your car if you leave anything of value the jackass steal it ! :pissed:
That is also going everyone to replace everything .

Just a couple of thoughts.... if the prescription is still valid for the glasses you may be able to order replacements for her where she got them and they should have her order on file so maybe they can just order the same style glasses she got last time. If the California DMV works the same as NC she could order a duplicate license online. Then you could ship them to Ireland for her. :hmm:
