Our trip went great but I am exhausted. Even with the severe back and neck pain I made it to the wedding and part way through the reception. I found a couch in the Planetarium and kicked back there with my ice pack. Lot's of people came to visit with me.
I was able to attend most of the outings and so glad I did because there were so many beautiful things to see.
On our trip home the plane was completely full once again. Thankfully United came through for us and moved us to the seats just behind first class. Way more leg room and I was actually able to lay down on the fold out table. So, my back and neck pain were tolerable. Daughter and boyfriend left the same day as us but they headed to New York for a few day.
I have visited Chicago numerous times. This time we stayed downtown and saw so many beautiful buildings, the river, plenty of wonderful restaurants and the most amazing landscaping everywhere. We lucked out because the weather was beautiful, a little cool at night. Everything turned out perfect. I was sad to leave but happy to be home with my little dog.
