Wondering why people tug my hair and play in it... after I tell them not to touch they think I am playing and do it more....yet smack their hands and they feel like you did something wrong 0.o

People always wanted to touch my daughter's hair b/c of her curly hair ,
we eating out once with my mother and I had put my daughter's hair into 2 ponytails and a nun walked by and said loved her hair and it brought back good memories and she gave my daughter some money. My mom was really surprised and said she would had wore ponytails too if she knew that was going to happen . Some how I don't think would had been the same. :giggle:

Thinking about how to get all the clothes I need into one suitcase and stay under the 50 pound limit. I would be fine if I didn't have to bring formal dresses and heels.

Longer trip this time with a lot more events to attend.

Busy next few days, lot's of birthdays this time of year.

you can use your weight scale to tell you how much it is.

I brought my big suitcase. I had four pairs of shoes, 7 shorts, three pants, 7 shirts, two dresses, many personal stuff such as lotion, shaves, etc. it weights around 39 lbs. we went home. my son is addicted to collecting the snow globes. so I had 6 and extra 6 long shirts and shirts and some stuff I cant remember.. it went up to 49.5. WHEW!!!!!!

I told my hub, " see I knew that I brought the big suitcase that was the right choice!" he complained, " why are you bringing too big suit case. " lol

I always brought the traveling size personal items like toothpaste and shampoo and I would pour some hair conditioner into the shampoo . This took up less space and easier to wash and conditioned my hair in one step.

Be sure to pack extra batteries if you need to use them .

I just went outside with my dog and it was like being in an oven! I never seen the ground so died out . I really believe we have global warming !

Wondering why some members here (mostly people in USA) feel they need to tell our friends in other countries to "speak" in English - US English System for measurements including temperatures, timezones in USA, etc.

AD is an international forum, everyone should be able to "speak" in the way they're used to speaking. If you don't know what 1C equals in F, then find a metric converter online. If you know someone lives in the UK, then look at a timezone map to see what time it is there vs here.

What I tried to suggest in another post is for ALL of us to start putting a C or F at the end of the numbers when posting temperatures to make it clear to all which scale we are using. Not trying to say that one or the other is better just make it clear which is being used.

Today my mom turned 84 years old. We are taking everyone out for birthday dinners tomorrow night.

It's so sad, she had to put her 13 year old Scottie dog to sleep this morning.

aww poor mom.. :(

But I hope the birthday dinners will cheer her up and being with y'all.

Have fun and enjoy the food!

(and this will be good practice too for your CIs- curious about how well it does in an environment like that).

Thanks DeafDucky......today is a very busy day for me and basically my first full day out of the house with my new CI. I have a ton of errands, visit with my daughter and then the birthday dinner. I'm excited to see how my new CI does too. I will let you know how it goes.

Thinking how sad I am that my parents were on a big 2 week tour of Oregon and California and they're returning home today, yet their camera with 2 weeks worth of vacation photos was stolen yesterday while they were eating lunch. :(

Oh, no! That's terrible. :(

Did they save any of the photos to Cloud storage, or upload them to Facebook. or send them to other people via emails or messaging?

Thank you, and unfortunately, no. They really aren't tech-savvy. But this gives me and my sister an idea for an Xmas present about a laptop or something that they can back up their pictures on. My dad was diagnosed with mild Alzheimer's recently, and I suspect this played a role in them leaving the camera in plain sight for it to get stolen.

for some reason I woke up with muscles hurting felt like I been doing weight lifting so tired and now the trots..i saw my mum and she got c-dif I hope not got I from her

What is c-dif ? Do you have a fever too ? It sound like some kind of nasty bug, I hope you'll feel better soon.
