Might consider a days ban or something if there flooding ... I tried to go into the sports section a few minutes ago to see what ya'll were talking about and it wouldn't load.

So my teacher made it making this assignment in which everyone will be given a "disability" and they have to act like they have that disability for a week. Thats a weird assignemnt.

Oh....... I see. And how on earth are you supposed to do that? Not the easiest thing to be disabled.

I actually called in sick today because I wanted to rest more from my 3-days of skiing trip and my boss said - "ah don't worry about it. I forgot to tell you that I'm on business trip."

Nice...I have to have sub plans ready for my aide and I don't have anything ready for her. I will try to see how I feel and if I start feeling out of it, I will leave early. Just feeling kinda funny like I am coming down with something.
 
I haven't..... I was just talking to someone who moved over that way about a year or so ago and she said it took 6 weeks for her back ground check since it was through the FBI... :shock: I died a little inside. I did some more digging around and found that since it is such an in-depth back ground check, that 6-8 weeks isn't unheard of... :shock: I was starting to worry... However, they do call you either way ( even if you don't get it ) so I suppose that explains no call yet. It's been two weeks... Just sitting here picking my nose... trying to be patient.... :doh: I'm also applying for another job that is equivalent to this same position ( Not under the same M.D. of course but a very good one ) and have an interview for that in early April.... I'm persistent. :D

wondering if it's my brother's friend's agency is the one performing your background check :hmm:
 
I have no idea who's doing it but it's through the state of Florida. I know they go back as far to even check your juvenile record... seems odd to me, but whatever makes them feel better about me sticking people with needles and such... :dunno2:
 
God, how much security clearance if any is involved? Mine took less than a week.

Well when you think about it... I deal with narcotics of all varieties, medical records, drugs and blah blah blah de blah blah blah. Oxy's and all their cousins... people love to get their hands on that stuff. Wouldn't want a jacked up junkie stabbing you with half a dose of morphine and half water because they shot themselves up with the other half in the bathroom, would you? :laugh2:

just now im reading about scary places with scary stuff thanks to Mew....
 
My insurance coverage starts on the 1st. Yesterday I went to my new doctors office to make an appointment. Like a checkup but mostly to get referrals, it's an HMO do I'm not sure what all kinds of docs needs referrals. I need to go see an OGB, and a dermatologist to get my moles checked.......and I need a referrals to get a CI evaluation.

Gulp. Wondering how long the wait will be for an appointment at the CI clinic.
 
P....A......H... I watched the whole of the Season 8 of Charmed. I am DONE!!! I couldnt believe that I totally forget some of those shows. I am not going through with the other seasons again!
 
I learned from visiting my Grandma in nursing home that there is a 96 years old deaf woman at a different nursing home. I would have to visit her one day. She lives not far from me. From what I've heard, she is in good spirit a lot. I would like to have a conversation or 2 with her.

I only had to wait a month for the CI evaluation then after that once they seen I qualified for it again they set an appointment up with the ENT surgeon. They first told me I qualified for it in 2001 but waited till late 2008 to go for it and had to start the process over again but the entire thing from evaluation to being implanted took less than 6 months total.
