What are you thinking about? Part V

Thinking I am pissed off as hell with my bank right now. I had some questions regarding one of my accounts and they keep telling me to call a 1-800 number for assistance even though I told them 6 times already that I cannot make phone calls. Then I asked if there was anyone at my branch who can assist me and was told again to call the 1-800 number.

This on top of finding out yesterday that my cell carrier changed my plans and started charging me $15 more a month, locked me out of my online account by changing username and password and took away their email contact info. Had to get my son to call the carrier and cancel my account with them.

Is it just me or some businesses regressing 10 years as far as communications goes?

Grr....

Nope, it's the businesses! The bigger they get, the more layers of insulation from customers they seem to put on. The business version of getting fat. :giggle:

I think how crappy I feel all sudden! Nauseated, sweaty, headache. This no good.

Did you manage to order colored earmolds?

No, my Audi wants to try it without ear molds. She thinks I have enough hearing that I don't need an ear mold. We will see. If I find it awkward I can request a change can't I?

You should be able to have a choice from the beginning in my opinion.

Well given this is a financial assistance case, I figured I would get very few choices if any. But if I had insurance and the money to pay and blah blah blah I could have a choice, no?

Yes. You should be able to convert them for well under $200. I still think the audiologist should have given you a choice for standard elbows and molds.

I think it is a lot sturdier than those new little things .

HAs without earmolds? How does that go? That's new to me.

all for more reason why I stick with fat cat bank. I can't deal with this kind of customer service from some small bank.

Yes, you do! I've gotten Hearing Aids on financial assistance and had a choice, they may have some limitations because of costs, but you should be choose your mold fit & style as well.

My bank IS a fat cat bank and it's rated one of the top banks in the world. it's very highly regarded.

anyways, I went to my branch and complained and they resolved the issue and financially compensated me for my troubles so it worked out.

I personally love my credit union. I love the smaller banks. I've stuck with them 15+ years.

Edit: not knocking the larger banks. I have an account at one. But most I do at my credit union.

ah there you go.

I have an account at a small bank. So far it's been good.

I'm hoping that the medicines that my doctor gave me perk me up in time for the holidays. My lung function is restricted and that's why I've been so weak and tired. Maybe not enough oxygen is not getting to my brain, which may explain some of my issues lately. lol

Oxygen

I have a device that I can check my oxygen level. Than I know to put on my oxygen. I usually can tell though because I get light headed and a little sick to my stomach. This usually happens after I eat. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon.

I'm trying to plan out my routes. So far I have three options.

I-80 is the most direct way, but scary in winter.

I-40 and then I-5 up to Sacramento.

Or go south and take I-20, then hit I-10... And then I-5 up to home sweet home.

Which of the three would be the best option during winter? Dad insists on the third route, but I'm afraid it'd be more gas, $$.
