Good luck with that. But you have already made your decision. You refuse to do an unpaid internship. There are those of us that were fine with doing our unpaid internships. What's the problem here? You don't have to do one. Doesn't affect you. If someone who needs one doesn't have a problem with it, how does that affect you?

So pay your interns lavish salaries. You can take the pay off your salary. Everyone is happy. You stuck to your principles and paid your interns. I'm sure it works that way in the real world.

what for? he's not my full-time employee. Like I said for many times - I would offer a compensation for commuting or lunch.

Do you even realize that most unpaid internships will provide a travel allowance? That is not considered pay. Pay is an hourly wage or a salary.

Well, easy for you to say. But look at Procter and Gamble - They have unpaid internships... 4th most profitable company in 2010, with $14,000,000,000 in profits.

good! other unpaid internships don't do that. Like I said for many times - it doesn't have to be a monetary compensation. It can be a movie ticket.

sorry but I don't believe in "It's a learning experience!" or "It's something you can put in your resume!" bullshit.
 
There can be many other benefits besides learning experience and resume material.

same for Princeton University. The wage rate for college students was so meager but hey.... at least it wasn't "unpaid"
