What are you thinking about? Part IV

No problem. I guess I do not see what was wrong with my sentence. But I wouldn't call out someone else's grammar here.

I think it was a further reference to Jiro mocking JClarke.

same here. I don't really want to think about adding additional $80,000+ to my current college debt for grad program :ugh:

I'm working on getting a fellowship/scholarship/etc.... at same time - this will means bye bye to my "cozy" salary. I'm not sure if I can do grad program next year because I need to reduce as much debt as I can so that I don't fall into "debt-for-life" trap. My family financial situation consumed nearly half of my salary for the past couple years

And what might you be thinking of changing to? Any ideas yet?

Was thinking of doing something closely related to my dream job as am interior designer.....maybe like a window dresser or staging homes but I will be required to go back to school.maybe next year after I pay off two credit cards, I erl go to school for those fields.

No, I was introducing Jiro to Jake. Sorry about that...didn't mean you at all.

Yes, thank you.:ty: Just elaborating on the concept of not correcting when you aren't right in your own work that AlleyCat brought up.

What career do you want?

What career do you want?

I know you weren't asking me, but for me I thought about this a couple years ago too. Went back to school for IT. Got through a good chunk of it which was great for my existing career (graphics, web design). But not enough of a career change to make me too excited. So now I'm reconsidering how I want to finish school now.

My SO and I are considering starting a restaurant. In our opinion, you should know every aspect of the business, not just some. So, he's planning on taking culinary classes after he's done with his ASL classes. I already cook decently well (although I could do better!), we both went to school for business management, and he already owned his own business before closing it down to join the military. So .. just an idea in the works right now.

My hubby is looking into a career change. He was never able to go to college due to learning problems and bad grade in school. He has been working in manufacturing for the last 15 years or so. His dream has been one of two things. He used to want to have his own shop doing repairs on outboard motors and lawnmowers, or doing air conditioning repairs. Well, he has taken 2 A/C classes at a local Technical school and now we dropped of the papers for this 5 years apprenticeship program for A/C installation and repairs. I hope he is able to handle it since he has poor memory retention due to brain damage at birth. He also is lousy with spelling, reading and math.

What career do you want?

GIS field with a focus in transportation (or urban planning). It's a very broad field but very specialized and it's new. The largest client is real estate.

I can see myself doing it till my retirement. I definitely can't see myself doing what I am doing for another few years because I will get replaced by somebody younger and smarter.. somebody more well-versed with future programming trend.... and I hate programming but I do this because it's good money... for now. Just a matter of time till my time limit is up. However - good thing is that my programming skill & experience is transferable to GIS.

I don't have a career at the moment, but if I did, I would want to change it to being a brewery owner and pizza maker. Yeah, that's the stuff!
