What are you thinking about? Part III

I am thinking about my friend in Columbia, MO. Her mom had to be rushed to the University Hospital up there after a heart attack and her mom is in ICU. Well she doesn't have the money to book a hotel so she has been sleeping in her truck. I've been trying to convince her to let me help her get a room and I even found a place maybe 3 miles down the interstate from the hospital. If I can convince her to let me book her a room using my debit card I would, I just don't want her freezing to death as she is very skinny to begin with and secondly I don't want a hoodlum to go after her. She said she would call. I've been trying to call around to see if I can get some funds gathered up for the cause to help her out. No luck yet. I just don't like seeing people in these types of situations. :(

Hopefully I can get her booked for tonight at least if she calls and tomorrow I can make some calls to see about getting the rest of it up for her.

Can't she stay in the hospital with her mom for warmth and safety?

that's what my family did. They slept by the chair ... or in ICU, they are not allowed so they slept in the waiting room.

I'm used to sleeping in the waiting room in hospitals. I practically grown up in it.

Yeah, hospitals often have places for the family to stay, especially if it's serious...

A "friend" was a complete asshole today on Facebook. I want to kick his ass! UGH.

She called me back and said her mom had been moved out of ICU and I told her if that is the case ask if they can bring a roll-a-bed into the room for her to sleep on, or if nothing else there should be a reclining chair she could use. Im thinking about going up there myself on Saturday to get her some fresh clothes and convince her to let me dog sit her two dogs while she's up there. I doubt she's eaten so I'll take her out for a healthy meal as well.

I actually hate "drama" but he's making himself look like an ass...I'm like, wow! Geez. So embarrassing that I actually know this person.

 I have found it helpful just to take a person like that, and anyone who gave them any sympathy off my friends list.

Just a suggestion.

And then don't let them back on.

She's lucky to have you as a friend!!!

I'm just worried about her. Her brother passed away less than 6 months ago and she nearly worried herself right into the hospital over that. She wouldn't eat, she wouldn't sleep, she wouldn't come to work, and this went on for 3 weeks until finally I had to coax her to come back to work and about a week after she got back into her normal routine she started eating and sleeping normally again. I understand that she was grieving for her brother and I don't blame her but she literally just shut down completely and it worried me. I don't want to see her in that state again, it scared me really.

I am thinking about that bad wreck I saw this afternoon on the way home from trout fishing. It took me 30 minutes to cover about a mile of highway. From what I caught a glimpse of through the massive detour is one car had the engine jammed into the passenger compartment and everything is gone from the hood forward. On another vehicle everything from the back doors to the back bumper is gone. This is on a 5 lane highway and I assume more than just two vehicles were involved as there was debris allover the highway and the two cars I saw were 3 lanes apart. I hope no one was killed.

I'm thinking about a very Merry Christmas and a "bright" one....decorated my house most all day, we're gonna do some work on the front outside tonight before it gets too cold.....got the Spirit! It's already looking like Christmas....

I just found more about that wreck from a friend of mine. It was an elderly couple from Dover and the status of the other vehicles is unknown. The elderly woman is in bad shape and had to be Med-Flighted to Little Rock. I hope she makes it. It looked pretty nasty.
