Well - I know it's not rotten. :giggle:

Could be, I'm sittin' too much. Has to do with the legs not working well. I fell 8 times today. Luckily, it was all on the carpet. Tylenol is my friend tonight. :aw:

Maybe you need Bubble wrap?? I hope your feeling better!

I am thinking since I haven't gotten any word from Bloomingdale's that I didn't get the job. I gave them a week to hopefully make a decision. and still no call.

I just received a phone call that I will be subbing at the school on Friday from 7:45 until 2 pm. Awesome!

Good for you. Maybe you will get enough jobs subbing that you can hurry on your teaching degree. :fingersx:

I hope so. My dad was offering to help me stay in school but I know he doesn't have a lot himself. On top of that I had to register for classes by Nov. 18th, that's long past now. With the USDA job being uncertain I don't want to enroll only to have to drop out a second time. I wish I could find a way to be a full-time sub but that's incredibly hard to do in this area.

Thank you both Botts and Juli-terp-to-be!!:ty:

I thinking about taking son back in for another hearing test. We saw the doc today regarding some ear problems he is having and the doctor has no clue since there's no infection or anything he can see. Son is experiencing very loud tinnitus, and loss of hearing in his right ear. Started last night. We went through this before when he found out that his mild hearing loss was at that point moderate. He says this is just the same type of problem and issue. His last audiogram was 3 years ago (he was 12) and his left ear was mild/moderate loss and his right ear was moderate/almost severe.

He and I have talked off and on about this over time and he says that if he loses his hearing enough, he still does not want hearing aids. He has had them before and hated them. Too many infections and too much pain. Since my mother has a naturally loud voice, it was like she was shouting all the time, but MIL has a very quiet voice. HE would rather learn ASL with me and just let whatever happens, happen. I will not push anything on him. His speech is very good and I have no problem with his decision. I talked with MIL today about it and gave his reasoning for not wanting hearing aids (she was willing to pay for them) and she said he had a lot of valid points and she also respects his decision.

Ya know Kristina, ya made me think about my own son. This past weekend I was talking to him and he kept asking me to repeat what I had just said to him. We were watching TV, but it wasn't too loud & I even have the CC on.
So I sat him down and asked him if he was having problems hearing people. The look on his face was one of shame and he said sometimes. I was shocked that he never came to me about it.
I never had my son's hearing checked other than the hearing checks done in the well baby visits. I am now wondering if another part of his continuing school problems could be hearing loss.
I feel like I shouldn't have missed this. I had his vision checked, why not his hearing?

Both my kids were required to have their hearing tested while on Missouri Medicaid since I had a hearing loss. They had their first tests at age 4 & 5, then we lost the Medicaid, but since I knew they had some kind of loss, I kept up with it. Daughter is still at mild. Hers is something else. She can hear all kinds of sounds, they just are not clear. She has learned to adapt and compensate. Son's is just getting worse like mine did, only faster than mine did.

Yea, get it checked out. You are a good mom to recognize this.

Dixie, I hope you get the call.

He didn't tell me cause he was afraid. Afraid of telling me of hearing difficulties. I have a feeling that he has told his father and he dismissed it. AND if I talk to my ex about it he'll say I coddling my son & making excuses for him. Plus I don't have any way of affording a hearing exam.

doctor yearly checkup and school routinely do this? both my son's doctor and school check for hearing and vision every year. Good idea to have it check, There's also ADHD and processing disorder to be checked out as well.

The schools are required to provide them annually. did he get one recently from his school?

He has ADHD, and aggression & an authority disorders. I have to take him to get his glasses replaced. He father says it's too much of an expense since he is so rough on his glasses.

I don't know....I don't get any reports from the school. I am the visiting parent, and in NYS the parent with physical custody has to give the schools written consent for any paperwork to be sent. My ex is vindictive and lazy. He won't do it.

Dixie, I hope you get the call.

There's still no word from USDA but I will check the status of my application online and I will contact them tomorrow and see what.
