What are you thinking about? Part III

Now, what is Ohio like? Mother lived there for a long time, but not since before I was born.

I lived in northwest Ohio from 1997 to 2000 (close to the Michigan and Indiana borders). The winters are extremely cold and if it snows it stays since it hardly gets above freezing. I had to change a water pump on my truck one winter and was in a garage but still had to go in every 10-15 minutes to warm up it was so cold. Otherwise its fine I just hated the winters and had to get a 4x4 the first year I was there.

Wirelessly posted

Thinking how sad it is that I had to re knit the hat cause it turned out too small. so much effort...so easily destroyed -greek tragedy background with ppl crying-

Frisky, I don't think he's returning. After some of the mods closed some of his threads, they said he was on perma ban.

Yes that's right. I suppose that sometimes things do change unexpectedly expecting with a valid reason.

Thinking when it will be warm again?

I notice it reason notice him is not nice guy!

I am thinking I am accident prone this week. First I cut my left index finger on Saturday. Then tonight I slip on some ice in front on my house taking out the recyclables, and land on my ass & right elbow. I am hurting something fierce with the pain radiating down my arm to my wrist.

Thinking about my dad, who will be placed in a assisted living facility soon. It makes me sad to see that things have come to this.

Reading this made me actually say " Ouch " out loud. Hope you stay safe and it stops hurting soon!

Thanks for the info about Ohio. Seems this place is in New Bremen over near the Indiana border. Small town. Applied for the position this evening online. We will see. Mom does remember the cold and such, but did say that it is different that Missouri winters that melt, freeze, sleet, snow, sleet melt, freeze and so on. I remember one winter where we had 16 inches of snow, but there were 3 different layers of ice in those 16 inches. That was not a good year. Vehicles were fine, but the waterpipes on the mobile home froze and we did have heat tape and insulation on them.

Its warm and comfy under my blanket and I just went to the bathroom, who said drink more water ... grrrr

So so...my first assignment by my teacher ( apart from practicing the signs given in class and what not ) was to make a sign name for myself cause some of the girls in the class had them ( given to them by their previous teacher ). So we are supposed to think of something unique to us and make it but I'm not sure where I saw it, a few months ago I read that sign names are given to the person by the Deaf...so I'm thinking...are we breaking some kind of culture rule by doing it ourselves or it's ok ??? o.o I wouldn't like to introduce myself to someone and show them my sign name then have them be miffed at me cause it was chosen by me >.<

Okay - This is a question from my hubby and I couldn't answer as I have never done this. We are seriously looking to move out of Florida or at least where hubby can get a better job. He has a line on one in Ohio. The human resource director spoke with him on the phone today and we had to redo hi resume and cover letter a little. She is seriously considering him. What hubby wants to know is, since we will be driving to wherever we move to and he will be driving a Ryder or U-Haul truck and pulling my car and I will drive his Expedition. How is the best way to transport the cats? We will obviously get better carriers than we have now, and they will be in those while in the Expedition. He is concerned about bathroom stops for them and the motels for the trip. The cats have their collars, but have never been leash trained. I am lost about his and we are planning on keeping these cats. Not sure the female will handle it well since she is so skittish, but we will see.

Great news on the job I hope it works out well.

On moving with the cats:
Yes getting hard carrier would be good, also look into a small kennel as another option. Possibly if the cats aren't too big they can be housed together. There are pre-made cat litter pans at most stores. I am not sure about cat friendly motels, but they have to be out there. Talk to your vet about travel options they'd know more I'd think.

When moving a cat, get tranquilizers from your vet and they can make the trip fear free.

Will be sorry to see ya move out of Florida, Kristina....Ohio is cold....brrrrr.....!!....but good luck....As for the kitties....can't answer that. But as for dogs, I did see the Vet for a tranqualizer (as Botti suggested)...my doggie fought it and fought it!...She hyperventilated 600 miles! I gave her another pill, with no luck....and by the time we arrived in N.C., she threw up....and finally passed out.....

So far the move to Ohio is not definite. We really want to get out of this house. As good as the house is and as much as MIL has helped, we just do not have enough room and personalities are clashing too much. She still, just today, mentioned to a neighbor that she thinks I am faking my hearing loss. I can't take her up and down attitude that goes from hot to cold to "whatever". It's like walking on eggshells most of the time. Right now, I am sinking into a depression because of it and trying hard to not get there.

I just want to say thanks to everyone for being a friend and being there when I needed it.

I'm thinking...what the hell was I doing yesterday that I hurt my leg and didn't notice until today?? O.O
