mythical being. unknown entity. Casper. etc. all same thing to me.

funny - I believe UFO (alien) is real but I don't believe in spirit/ghost/Casper stuff.

when i hear ghost i think halloween someone with a sheet over their head. spirits arent mythical though. but there is alot of stuff we dont understand. maybe we werent suppose to who knows. as far as aliens im on the fence about that but think there probably is something else out there somewhere. as big as space is its hard to think that earth and humans are the only lifeforms in existence.

Ya know I've got several friends like this... they have a belief in one or the other but not many are open to both... sort of interesting--

To be fair, easternized spirits are different from westernized spirits.

people from all countries believe in ghost. Simply put - there are believer and disbeliever.

I'm the latter. I'm sorry but the door shutting close by itself or a sudden cold air blowing at you is not good enough. Show me the actual ghost.

True, but the way spirits are represented are different.

I am thinking about staying out of a few threads.

 We hit batting cage balls in the 50 degree range just to get them nice and broken in.

Umm, no. I NEVER use my game bats in the batting cage that uses more denser balls and significantly shorten the life of the bat. I do like to break a bat in of course with newer bats to increase the recoil, but I simply do it in live batting practice and have everyone use it for a few minutes. Within an hour or so its got 200+ hits and ready to go. Also here in April and October, weather does get chilly for night games and yes I've seen plenty of bats cracked in <60 degree temperature. TPS genesis cracked, Mizuno Orange Crush, Mizuno Techfire, Demarini bat all cracked. Some people here use bat warmer if they want to use in cooler temps. I will stick to either my PST or my TPS XXL (best non composite bat ever owned) when it chills off. I have been quite impressed with the PST performance in cool weather. Only tinge is it does have a little smaller sweet spot.

you must also post on softballfans.com ... you sound like them.
I have been using my Synergy + since 2004. Ive used it in batting cages extensively. Used to hit 100 balls daily with it. Also slipped it in a vise.

I also have a Synergy 2 that I put in the vise, broke the vise (not the bat) then proceeded to have it used in Alaska for two years... Still going on hot.

Ive broken much more metal bats than composites. So, I might be an oddity...

That's something new I learned. I never knew bats need to be broken in for regular use. Sounds like baseball-language.

for target practice, perhaps? :hmm:

 I don't find them very attractive so i would be tempted to buy a gun and practice my targeting skills on those lawn decorations. I don't think ti will go over well with my neighbors though. :giggle:

I NEVER would've thought about a bat breaking from temp differences... I always thought it was from the force used to propel the bat... but it makes perfect sense-- when you think of the physics of it all

Learned a lot just now thank you :)

No, I have never posted on softballfans.com. I am not telling anyone what to do, Im sharing my experiences with specific equipment used in specific conditions. Whats wrong with that? I am content with my equipments and my investment therein. Everyone has their own quirky preferences, most ball players will admit that. But also I am interested in some feedback from my friends that I play with about their equipment. We test and definately go back and forth with bats in practices. When it comes to game everyone to his own preference to make that person feel comfortable and highest level of confidence.

Yeah. Just that the guys over at Softballfans will take care of their bats much more than they take care of their wives, first born son, daughter, houses, etc.. Its unreal.

I'm just glad I have a bat that has lasted me way more than 30,000 hits easily.

I have seen alot of Mizzuno's crack. I like Worth and Easton. We use cages for breaking in.... I does shorten the life... no doubt. But they get hot fast.
