Thinking this is the most boring vacation ever!

My husband has been out all week putting in a sidewalk and a rail by the side of our steep driveway so I can hold onto it and get down to the street if I want to walk somewhere this winter.

The dogs are bored too.

But I will appreciate his work when it snows. :)

I don't believe in ghost, spirits or any paranormal activity but some places can seem quite spooky especially at night!

Does the photo look spooky to you?

If there was a graveyard, a full moon, and fog in the picture along with the house, yes, it would be spooky. :)

Why do people put fake deer in their front lawn??? It's got give bad car karma or something...

My in-laws had some heavy a$$ed concrete deer in their yard for Christmas. After we moved to Missouri in 1996, they couldn't put them back in the garage, so they left them in the yard all year. Seems, someone stole them, but didn't bring a vehicle, they tried to carry them down the road. Both deer were found about 2 houses down, totally shattered. The kids that stole them, went to the hospital because of muscle strains. Got arrested right there. 2000 hours community service with the little detail, that it had to be outdoors community service.

What was the purpose of putting the decorative deer in their front yard?

Christmas I guess. She had them for over 20 years. They always went out at Christmas and went next to her nativity scene.

Ohhhh for Christmas? I like those deer. I thought she had those realistic-looking deer that some people like to put up in their front yards.

no, these were some really nice but over 100 pounds each concrete deer that were painted nicely. We always touched up the paint every so often, but they were lifelike.

Hubby and FIL moved them with an engine hoist and heavy webbed straps.

I'm thinking it's way too humid and hot in the house not to have a window open but there's no screen so now the bugs are flying in. I turned the overhead light off but the mosquito are still attracted to my computer screen. The breeze does feel nice, though!

When I was health aid I saw a house with fake deer in the yard and thought it was funny. The next time I went by the house a guy was shooting a cross arrow at the fake deer neck! I thought that was really strange. When I had to see my client again the housde with the fake deer had a dead deer hanging in a tree! And it was cut open! My client was really up set as the litte kids were crying about the dead deer. That fake deer was bad karma for the dead deer! Some people use it to practice killing a real deer like that guy did. The guy was very creepy looking , I did not talk to him.

Take a visit to Salem, Mass. ;)

There is a small hotel in my city and a piano is in the dinning room . The guest that stay there stay said late at night you can hear someone playing the piano when everyone is sleeping. When I first moved here people where telling about this as I lived two houses away from the hotel .
I did not believe in ghosts until one night my sister and where playing cards We where waiting for my sister husband to come home before we when ti bed. We felt safer with him home. We heard some foot steps coming up the stairs and my sister husband was home , but we realize it did not sound like him , the sound was very heavy sounding , my sister when to check it out and said no one was there . The people that lived down stairs heard it too and the guy had a knife in his hand as he thought someone trying to break in. Four people heard the sound of foot steps going up to the attic and there was no apartment up there! My brother in law had a friend that believe in ghosts and spirits that are lost ,he came to the our apartment and when into the attic and said he could feel a spirit in the room. It turn out a

nothing wrong with deer hunting. the deer you seen was hanging up with the back legs up and head nearer to the ground? thats how its done. deer is good if its cooked right.

Don't believe me then, just ingore my posts, Jiro.

However the Bludells Cottage I posted few posts ago is a very old building and might possible be the oldest buillding in Canberra, Australia. I am discssuing with my friend at the moment on how we did saw last night.

believe what? I didn't say I don't believe you. I said I don't believe in haunted house stuff. My friend from Chicago is a ghost hunter. I've written a few posts about his experiences. I'm surrounded by dozens of haunted places around here. You've been to one of them..... Empire State Building

From what I know - we have 2 of the most haunted places in NYC. I went to one of them. I demanded my friend to take me there. When I got there, I wasn't very amused at all but my friend was scared shitless because of past experience.

The other place - it's a huge old mansion. I can't remember its name but the NYPD is afraid of it. :dunno:

That means no more spicy foods for me when I become a senior citizen? :tear:

no. that would mean you will eat even MORE spicy food!

Hey, dont be a party pooper! It is fun to be creepied out so let us have some fun being spooked by haunted houses!

I'm a disbeliever which is ironic because I'm a Buddhist which means we believe in spirit.

I'm just one of those type - "I'll believe it when I see it" so let me know if you ever see one... take me there
