He is still working full time, but we lost money big time with the move from Missouri to Florida. He went from $16.40 an hour to $8.25 and hour. It makes it real hard to pay bills and save anything.

Not good wage. I hope he would find other job. Return back to Missouri. :)

If we didn't have his mother to be close to, we would even though I hated it there. He has some feelers out in Central Florida that pay a lot better. It's just hard for a 50 y/o to get a job around here. The Latino immigrants take them all.

Your hubby isn't the only one with income impact. I went from 2 jobs, one with 10 a hour and other with 10.50 a hour to measly 8.25 a hour, part time job. I used to work 42 to 60 hours a week to now 33 hours a week.
 
sequoias, you are right. Wage hours are down and lots of layoff jobs is growing. KristinaB, you may look for part time job to spend cost of livings.

Washington state is high cost of living and here in Iowa is cheaper cost of living, in general but some cities like Iowa City is expensive to live in.

I would like state of Oregon because my sister lives in Portland. My state of Ohio is boring. No sales tax in Oregon. But gas price is little expensive in Oregon than Ohio. This law s not allowing self service gasoline.

That's what that was about.....I noticed the gas stations were full serve when I was there. Had not seen that in 20 years at least

There are a lot of great amusement parks in that state, also a flight capital of the US (I think?)

I live near NYC with 18+ million people and it's boring to me :lol:

I know that Cedar Point amusement park is "The Roller Coaster Capital of the World". Geauga Lake amusement park near Aurora Ohio was closed down in few years ago but Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom is a waterpark now. Other park still be King's Island near Cincinnati.
 
Iam thinking how excited I am to hang out with 3 of my closest MD girls tmw at the pool. :)

I am thinking, MIL's chicken smells totally disgusting. She's uses tons of seasonings, since "The chicken has no flavor."

Ageism coming out here, but that's why I don't eat out with a lot of seniors. Some complain the food is too bland or too strong, while the rest of the middle-aged people are looking at them as if: "what are you talking about? It has lots of flavour or it's really mild."

She 74 and basically lost her sense of smell due to allergies and sinus infections.

My FIL had to have everything cooked with no seasoning. Since he died last year, it's like she making up for 52 years of no seasonings. :giggle:

If you like it and like who and where your working at it will go by fast. Or vice versa if you dont like who your working with o where your at it will drag on forever.
