That's something new I learned. I never knew bats need to be broken in for regular use. Sounds like baseball-language.
The composite bats are the opposite of bats just 10 years ago. Those bats were hot day one and went down with use. Composite bats rely on flex and have to be "stretched" also has to do with what is on the inside of the bat. That has to be broken down to create more flex.
