Wanna get married?

If a man asked me to sign paper so that he can protect his asset,

So why I need to marry somebody like that that don't have
that much faith in me.

Hi Empress,

I have a question if you worked very hard all your life for something then someone can just come and take it away then what would you think ?

It has nothing to do with faith and trust at all. It is something a man worked very hard all his life for.

I would marry a woman who will sign papers so I can keep everything that I have worked for it is only fair and I earned each and every one of it.

You know that these things are more recent and new why ? because of feminism !!!!! and it is actually hurting the woman a whole alots more because now she can't really find a good guy to marry. Feminism actually hurts the women much more and the residual damage from feminism shows up both in the short and long term ? Why do you think men do not hold the door open for women anymore ? Women are after money and their evil greed knows no bounds. There is nothing wrong with opening the door for a woman but the feminists politicized it so much now that many women can't enjoy the simple pleasure of having a man open the door for her. I also notice that many feminists usually have no marriage or no children which does not surprise me and they keep on being a feminist and their biological clock ticks time is running out for them to have a baby and guess what the guys don't want her because she is a feminist and there is no way in the world a man can trust a feminist and then one day her biological clock simply stops then her eyes will have been opened and she will cry and really sob profousely on her bed pillow because she realizes she has been decieved by the feminists such as NOW and another organizations that are so politically correct meanwhile the man has a beautiful woman who has a good heart and common sense, has a good family and a nice car in the garage just for her and she is blessed greatly by God because she is not a feminist.

After you married that woman and have children by her, divorce or not,
that woman will always be in your life....
So you really didn't lose anything....

That is why I don't approve gay marriage, because there will be
no attachment.... the gay husband will disappear with all the
money you worked hard for, even if you adopt kids, still he will
disappear. Same thing with lesbians.

So with a husband and wife, having kids together... after divorce
that woman or man will always be "FAMILY"... because you have
kids with her
So if you give the woman, the mother of your kids, some of your
money you worked hard for....
Give her the house, so that your kids can come over and spend
the nights with her during partly custody, full custody or visiting...

But soo... anyway, husband and wife with no kids together, no blood attachment,
yeah it is a chance that the wife or husband will leave and disappear
forever and take some of the stuff you worked hard for.

If Jesus was married and then divorced, he would have given
some stuff he worked hard for to his wife, no matter what...
Because he would sacrifice, just like he sacrifice his life for us.

Oh brother. You're making another generalization, here. Feminism has nothing to do with it. It has more to with the way the laws are written. In a few states here in the US, couples are entitled to HALF the marital assets in a divorce. I think this is true in New York and California. In these states specifically, prenups are popular. A pre-nup protects BOTH the man AND the wife, in the event of a divorce. When a pre-nup is signed, the woman can't get more than what is specified in the document. Therefore, the idea that feminism is responsible for the popularity of pre-nups is a bit off. Why on Earth would a woman want to sign such a document, if she is even half aware that she could take her husband to the cleaners; should the marriage end?

It makes no sense. Women don't want the document. Men do.

its my thread and i want to give sxyporkie hug cuz she lost her husband. she havent married again cuz she still love him? :(

yeah if you give your wife, the mother of your children, the house,
and she doesn't have a job... and hey, you still have to pay
the house's mortage, pay the spousal support, and child's support.

I don't know why people bother to get a divorce...
might as well stay in the marriage if you gonna mooch off
your spouse.

Might as well buy 2 houses, one for you and one for your wife...
and still be husband and wife.

Just like giving your son a car as a gift, and you still paying the car's note
and your son can do whatever he want to with that car.

Tina Turner, she divorced her husband Ike, and she shouted, "I don't want nothing from him... he can keep the damn house, damn money, and everything... but I am keeping the last name, "Turner".

She doesn't want any attachment with Ike.

She went off and restart her career, and became RICH by herself...
I admire that woman Tina Turner. :)

I don't need a website to tell me who to marry quickly. ;)

For some of you who don't believe in marriage - ok - your choice.

Look at Terry Schiavo's, she was married, its up to her husband's decision to control her, not up to parent's.

How would you feel if one day, you have no saying what to do with your partner you live together, if he/she becomes ill, all will go to parent's or siblings as next of kin ?? You have NO RIGHT to claim - Nothing!

yeah if the couple worked many years to get where they are with their jobs and house, cars, etc.. then one day he died.. the lady will get zip! but guy's family will? are you willing to lose everything that you both worked for ? i think not. its better to keep in your hands instead of family. thats my opinions.

Hey Heath: I do strongly believe in Marriage and
strongly against Divorce (except for a good reason
such as abuse) I would marry only if there is
enough Trust/Faith.

However, I am still Single and

If a right man ever exist into my life, then
I would NOT mind if he open the door for me etc.

Do you think that I am a Feminist ?

Yes, that's right but if unmarried couple who produced a child together... Everything will go parent as next kin but a child have to prove the court that dead partner is his/her parent thru blood test then will get 50% as right. It cost a lot of money to prove anything to the court, etc.

A unmarried "widow" get nothing... , no even widow pension, etc. The doctors are not allow to give unmarried partner the information of his/her partner's healthy issue because they are not married. They are obligate to give information to next Kin...

If unmarried couple who have no children, then everything will go to the parent of dead partner automaic as next kin.

but if child is still a minor.. everything and the child will go to grandparents if they never married.. not the unmarried widowed parent will keep. unless the person did have a WILL. that was sealed by the clerk with signatures.. then it will go the unmarried person and the child's

You make an excellent point.

My sister is currently divorcing her husband of 5 yrs. He doesn't have a diploma OR a GED (WHY sis married this clod is another story, rmfe... *ahem*).

Anyway, what you say is kinda true. My sister was the one in the marriage with the better education. She was/is the one that held down a fulltime job and provided the family with benefits. NOT HIM. Not that she has kicked his sorry butt to the curb, he's whining about this and that. Her atitude is sorry, but GET A JOB!

At to your second point, that is ALSO true. For that, I cite Sir Paul McCartney. He is currently divorcing his second wife. It came out that a Pre-nup was NOT signed before they were married. I believe his status in England will probably get him out of the trick bag on this, but, it reeks of stupidty, imo.

If you're going to be with someone, make sure you've signed legal papers to protect your assets. You may think you're living happily ever after, but reality can and does come along to bite you on the behind.

You need to realise that pre-nups aren't considered a legal contract in some countries. They weren't in Australia until a few years ago, as it was a legal thing that an individual could not sign away their rights.

Also in some places it may be a difficult thing to get the courts to enforce it.

To me it looks like the contract is God in the USA. But not necessarily so anywhere else.

Marriage just to make attorneys, legal staff happy! That is all! I personally don't believe in marriage! Whats point of marriage *IF* divorces do exist and that is to support attorney's living expenses. No thanks!

M Y T H!!!

Who told you that?

but if child is still a minor.. everything and the child will go to grandparents if they never married.. not the unmarried widowed parent will keep. unless the person did have a WILL. that was sealed by the clerk with signatures.. then it will go the unmarried person and the child's

Not unless you get will! Once you get the will, it has final bearing on legal decision.

For some of you who don't believe in marriage - ok - your choice.
