Vp Sorenson :(:(:(

Most houses have about 5 regular telephones. I probably would need two or three videophones for my house. If I have 2 video phones, I have only one IP address or one telephone number.

Hmm. It is possible that my video phones produce more electricity. I am not so sure if I have to pay my phone bill for two video phones just for one line. You know what I mean. I haven't thought of that.

But the lines in one modem -- could direct to any videophones where you can just nib the nearest videophone? *shrugs* I am not sure about in this field

VP charges the electricity very little so, so what?

Yeah. You know a regular phone contains a very tiny amount of electricity.

A video phone requires a plug for the outlet. I can't find the information for output for the electricity. (I am just wondering about that.) The VP-200 runs 120 volts and 60 Hz. It does not comes with an Energy Star. Doesn't it help?

VP s watts is low but your television watts is high. You better turn off TV set for saving electricity but vp always keep is power on.

highlander - I assume you are one of the tech support for VRS comapnies?

Few of my good deaf friends complained to me about VRS. That's where I learned lot of story.

I know about routers and switches. I had worked for Sorenson in three years.

Question. Why most VRS think VP with wireless is bad idea due slow, lag, and never happen but not true.

Illustrator: Blog-alloon » Turn your Sorenson VP into wireless

I feel sorry for my friend who have modem at basement (his brother live basement) and his VP is at upstair and VRS just throw 100ft cat5e around the house from basement to upstair. His mom complained about mess up about cat5e cable.

One time. I use xmeeting on my macbook and chat to my friend at VP-200 thru wireless G 108 mbps and around 50 feet away from router (outside and relax at backyard) and VP still smooth.

Sometimes wireless can cause a bad upload on the videophones, but it is apparently to a weak wireless -- it should be for the best to have a strong wireless where it can carry all the data through the internet.

I don't see any lag VP thru wifi G 108mbps. Sometime lag thru wifi G 54mbps. Upload or download are no matter for wireless. Most ISP and carrier network are best download speed than upload speed.

Nope, there is power adapter which drops voltage to cute 5 V for VP

My estimate was correct according to OHM's law, the power adapter provided 5 volts * 2 amperes = 10 watts so, it will take 100 hours of VP being on which would cost 8 cents! would you make big deal out of 8 cents if running VP for 100 hours? I don't think so.

Wait, u said satellite??? This is not good idea with VP because satellite tend to have latency rate going around 5 seconds, can you freeze video for 5 seconds? I don't think so, and there will always be problems with Satellite when it comes to VP.

DHB
It was not my idea. It was satalite man come to my past last 2 years ago. He put a double D link router together. I tried to remove one router from TS offered me. My husband won't let me remove the router. He didn't believe what TS said. I am tired of dealing with my husband and TS between.

I didn't tell my husband about trainer will come over on Monday because my husband will be gone out of town. He won't let me have trainer come over. But I ignore him. I am tired of problem with my vp over black video. He know nothing! He think he know it all about network, ip address and etc. Blah Blah. I need to stop be stress and frustrate. I really need to use vp. It's very important to me.

Right, Better use two Netgear XE103 plug-in wireless adapters. they are sronger signaler than wireless unit.

Incorrect,
Netgear XE103 dont use wireless, it's powerline.

XE103 - 85 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter

Outlets must be electrically connected in order for Powerline devices to provide a network connection between them.

Not always work for all house due powerline connection is not in order.

Someone have issue with XE102 for VP-200.

Sorenson Communication tech/installer that two wall plugged bridges will never work with VP-200. Unfortunately, His knowledge on wall plugged bridge/network is very limited. He even told me directly "I've never seen them before." and "I don't trust them".

Oh, that is not so bad. If I have two video phones, that would be 16 cents. i.e. VP-200 and Ojo (in the basement). I think that it's ok. Actually, I haven't hooked up my Ojo yet. My basement needs a lot of clean up first.

I will get the Ojo next week to test it ... stand by..

Highlander when did you work for Sorenson ? why don't you work for them now ?

Just curious..

FYI Beware of HMDI cables.... CC dont work through those cables very well, use the S video cables or the USB lines if you have it, I am sure CC will work with RCA jacks too.. I had fun torturing my DirecTV provider and the CC .. It was a laugh..He tried to get me to upgrade to HDTV.. I challenged him to make it work on my 60 inch tv.. It didn't work very well , esp with the CC going through the HMDI cables. 1080pi is not true HDTV.. don't be fooled by it..Wait a year or two or three for the true HDTV signals and newer tv models come out. Espeically after the Feb 2009 Digital TV signal switch over.

its sucks!!! I didnt know that My College, Dentist, Doctor, girl's school tried called me without missing called or leave message.... most of time i have to unplug the stupid vp box >>>one to twice a weekly!!

This morning, My travel trailer's Ins man tried called me at vp but got e.mail from him!

so I decide to rid of sorenson vp 200 box so What else company have service alike sorenson :dunno2:

I do not know about OJO Bec its small Tv? Ughh..

I did called complain to Sorenson but it dont helpful at all!!! :(

Ok what seems to be the problem with your vp200? are u not receiving any calls on your videophone? It could be public ip that is set wrong? We always want to have all the sorenson videophones to be on auto detect instead of private or specific. Please PM if u can.
