:hmm:

ok, now look up black cop and whites, it will be exactly the opposite....

I just watched CNN interview with Montel Williams. Oh man, it was a VERY good interview. He's a champ. He teaches their children how to say right things and be respectful, etc. He made a good point about schools where black students attend low in graduation rate (in Ferguson, 60-70% graduate from school and 3% of the graduates go to college). He also said that schools should invite a good leader as a motivation speaker to encourage them to study hard in school/college so they will have a good future. Where the hell are Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?

I don't really know the answer to that. But, if I wanted to research it, I would be asking Chicago PD Officers that question.

Why Chicago? because of all the shootings there and gang related violence.

I was watching an interview on some news channel (can't remember which one) and there was a black community leader - I think he may have been a pastor - that said something interesting. He said it wasn't white police officers that were the problem - that young black men are not being killed by white police officers - he said the problem was that young black males are being shot and killed by other young black males.

Again, I don't know if that is true - but I have heard it many times before called black on black violence.

I can understand the anger and frustration though. To some extent. If I was constantly targeted and harassed and pulled over by police because of my ethnic origins, I would feel like they were predators and I was the prey - i would be more defensive when dealing with an officer and not trust them at all.

That is how my Black b/f and I felt when the cops in Boston where pulling us over for nothing or jumping out of their car and running after us for no reason then shoving my b/f into a wall and roughing him up for dating me , a White woman. I started to really hate cops after this happen and did not trust them . I wonder if me being Jewish was another reason the cops where targeting us.

What those cops did was illegal and I am sorry you had that experience. Something like that can definitely change your view on Officers of the law. What law did they claim they were enforcing?

when they pulled us over my b/f asked why b/c we did not break and traffic laws the cops told us "They do not like the looks of us , there was my Black b/f and his Italian buddy and me a Jewish woman driving the car. The cops told us they where to pull us over every time they saw us and it had nothing to with enforcing a law , it was b/c they where racists and hated seeing Black men with White women. I was not going to stop dating my b/f b/c some racists cops did not like it. Yeah this really made me distrust cops and they wondered why some people did not like them .

When I was in high school my girlfriend was black. Only my mom knew. We didn't date for very long, but .. oh well. She was a super nice person. It was a puppy love type of thing.

She is now a Sheriff's Deputy.

(I also have to mention here that racism is never one sided - a lot of the black males did not like me dating her)

This is really sad that it happened with you when police officers are not giving you and your boyfriend the reason why they pulled you and your boyfriend over. If the cop said that he wanted to stop you and your boyfriend over was because your boyfriend was dating you as a White woman. Then the cop was wrong on that. It is none of the cop's business who date who. I am sorry that this happen to you and your boyfriend having the trauma over the incident with the cops who might be too eager to arrest or harm someone like your boyfriend. That is not right. You, both, were innocent. That is something we all fear of when the cop has or had to pulled us over, even on the sidewalks. Life is not fair to us when we try hard to survive in this difficult world. :(

I dated a Black guy when my dad was alive and only my older sister knew about it. He was going to Harvard and I was still in high school so it did not last long I met him at a play a friend was in and he looked like Sidney Poitier . He was in the play too and I was like WOW when he asked me out. I was a few years younger than him . The cops bugs us too.

Al and Jesse are to Butt lovin Fakes...that's where they are, in bed with eachother, lying and well, you know where Im getting....

I had black friends, we still talk when we get a chance. But back in the days, if a cop was racist, which more were back then, they gave the whites a hard time and harassed the black friend...intimidate them and make them sly away from their white friends in fear. Its a sad sight and its hard to re-assure your friend that its ok and that some of us white folks are not racist.

Oh they gave us a reason " They did not like the looks of us" that is good enough of a reason for cops and they still do this today. The cops in my city will stop boys they don't like the looks of b/c there a few boys from a gang that live in another city that come here looking for trouble. That is getting to a problem gangs of boys going a small city looking for a fight . The cops started doing more bike patrol in the summer , it a very small city and cops do not have a lot of riding to do.

I'm sorry you were harassed back then. Those police were certainly doing wrong. I'm curious how the police knew that you were Jewish and your friend was Italian when driving by?

It was my car , my maiden name was Jewish and the cops saw my driving license I was dating a Black guy and his buddy was Italian and looked it .
I was driving my car and my b/f was sitting in the passenger side and his buddy was in the back seat. A black unmarked with plan dress cops where telling me to pull over, I did not know they where cops but the guys did .
I was had not been living in Boston very and I thought it just punks wanted to give me a hard for being with a Black guy so I was not about to pull over.
I found out it was cops wanting to give us a hard. Anyone that heard my maiden name knew right I am Jewish and I could pass for a Russian Jewish woman which I am. Once the cops stopped us and saw my driving license they knew was Jewish. You could see right into car s then the windows where not tinted like today. As soon as the cops saw us they slowed down and I refused to stop until my b/f and his buddy told me to stop the car.
It was very scary b//c this was in the 60's , and you know what was going on then.

Someone on FB pointed out that Brown's obit was in our paper. I checked on line, and yup, it is. Strange.

Why is the strange to you ???

Because I'm in DE and the obit made no mention that he has any connection to DE. Do you have obits in your local paper for people with no seeming connection to your town?

Why is the strange to you ??? Who put my thread about the cop getting suspended here ?

I'm guessing Calvin or one of the other mods merged your thread with mine, since it is related to one other incident that was posted a few days back.

The cops could had called my plate # to see if the car was stolen and I bet they that b/c it was a new car and they would had gotten my name that way. They where on top of my car, trying to get me to pull over. I was visit a friend house before going to my b/f apartment and I left my wallet at my friend house by mistake . The cops wanted to know my friend name and address , they got there before I did and the cops stormed right into her house demanding if she knew me. My friend was b/s and told the cops they had no business coming into her home like .
