Ultrasound

I picked this name "Kieran" because its unique and an Irish name, but I knew some deaf people would have a hard time pronouncing it or spelling it :laugh2: but once they get it, they will understand :) It's prounounced "Keer ' in " Even my grandmother, who is hearing herself couldn't prounounce it either and now she can :lol:

Wow, that's a good idea. Something for me to think about as well. Augh! Picking a name is a hard work! Heh. Because once you pick, it stays for life. Ya know what I mean? :)

On the other hand...why would you be orally pronouncing it?

My answer to that is because I'm kinda living in the hearing world as well as living in the deaf world. My whole family is hearing (parents, siblings, uncles, aunts, etc) and I communicate orally with them. They don't really fully sign except my mom fingerspells, that's all. Plus I'm extremely self-conscience about my speaking skills, even though I'm profound deaf and cannot hear any sound with any hearing aids nor cochlear implants. Also, I want my husband to be able to say it simple, to call them if they're in trouble or to get their attention when they are older. Know what I mean here? That's why we're concern about how to say our children's names.

These names are too common. I know quite a few people go by these names. Thanks anyway. :) I like to have an unique name, but easy to pronounce. :D

but if u don't like those but u can pick one of those

My brothers' name are Malcolm, 10, Marcus, 9, Malik( in my mommy's tummy will be born around aug-sept).. or how aobut this, Montell, Devon deAndre.. It is up to u!! by the way CONGRATS!!!.... Hope ur baby will be healthy.. ;)
 
What about Eric or Jeremy? Joshua? Hope you can come up with a name you and your hubby like.. :D
 
do people really like middle names?? I dont have one and I notice that my friends hide their middle name..........I personally think three names is too much
 
Middle names matter to me... it makes me think that they are "important" since most people have three names instead of two. Also, I feel that the middle name is to represent themselves as part of the family. That's how I look at it.

Isn't he saying to name the baby after the president?? If that is what he is saying, it is George W. Bush. I may be lost of not understood what he was saying. If that is the case, oops, sorry.
