Travis the monkey killed for going on a rampage while mental

yes - you and I have different view on helping animals. You help them with boundless love. I help them with a firm respect to nature. in this case - Travis was severely neglected by being denied of a chance to live as a chimp. He was "forced" to live like a human.... which was very cruel. :(

But Travis was happy with his "mom" for long 15 years until he was sick with lyme diease...

Autopsies are performed on humans.

Necropsies are performed on animals.
Several specialist surgeons performed seven hours of surgery on the woman.

Yes, it's very sad... :( I feel bad for woman and hope everything goes smooth for her.

Yes, my friend was forced to put her cat sleep for sake of her children. Her cat was loving for long years until suddenly... Her cat was hissed and jump on her like lion's attack to human being and then bite and scratch her face. It's not normal...

The vet confirmed mentally sick due her age... but it's extremely rare, the Vet said...

Yes, she noticed something on her cat's behavior... become into unfriendly cat... and bite and scratch when she or her children want to pat or cuddle her.... something like that - "LEAVE ME ALONE"... My friend never thought about attack when she thought it's something do with cat age... when she questioned me via MSN chat... Her cat was 12 years old that's time. Few days later after that, her cat suddenly jumped to attack her like lion did to human being or animal... bite her neck and then scratch her face when she was about feed the food for her...

Oh my gosh! that is soo sad! cat was normal until she got sick, not
cat's fault...awww! Better off put to sleep. My best friend has 3 cats
and they all are getting old...eeks but they seem to be normal and all
but she is keeping an eye on their behaviors, of course, like any changes
in their personalities.

Curious where you get this. By definition the words are interchangable. ?

Travis' attack to the woman was MUCH worse than I've thought...he actually DID rip her face apart, her fingers bitten off, and she even lost BOTH eyes. He was one hell of a damned strong ape.

Terrible... :( Have you view the video in that link where Travis "mom" speaking?

I hope anyone can interpet what Travis´s "mom" said in video for us.

Travis´s "mom" alarmed the 911 straight way but 911 operator kept on question her... To my opinion, 911 operator should do what Travis´s "mom" said instead of question for few minutes... ?

Yeah it may seem like a waste of time when the operator just kept asking her questions but remember it's all part of the operator's job to ask as many questions as possible before they would send cops or whatever to her house.

Just to make sure it's not another prank call or whatever.

It is also a technique to keep the caller on the phone until help arrives.

It's pretty sad when the chimp is seemingly on a higher evolutionary scale than its owner. A wild animal will always be a ticking time bomb, and the chimp's owner only had a knife for emergencies of this sort? Tsk tsk.

some animals happen to have something in their minds like dieases that affect their minds to get confused then hurt people.

I had two dobermans in the past. they were wonderful sweetie doggies. One day, each of them at the different time almost bit my mom for no reasons. later, we found out that doberman had tumor in his brain and happened the same thing to our other dog. We had enough with dobermans. Seemingly that dobermans very common to get tumor in their brains. =( The whole point is that any kind of animals from small size to huge size are still dangerous. cats are dangerous too.

Exactly - my friend was being attacked by her own cat... and found out that her cat was mentally sick ...

so can humans with brain tumor or severe schizophrenia (paranoia/hallucination).

you ain't seen nothing yet. Wait for chimp documentary in animal planet channel. The chimp attack on invader (stranger chimp) is much worse because it always result in death... :Ohno:

guess what? When you watch it - you'll recognize something very similar. Yes you've seen it 1000000x in news and most likely in person at least once in your life. We humans do exactly same thing. :(

It does not matter. It's a ticking bomb IN ANY WAY. I do not blame this on lyme disease. I blame it ENTIRELY on serious negligence by Travis' owner.
