Maybe at your GameStop ...

Not at our Gamestop, used games are priced occurring to the used market value and the demand for it in each town.


I just brought a bunch of used XBox game like Gears of War 1 and 2 for only 3 dollar each, Gear of War 3 is going only for 10 dolllars but I am waiting on the price to drop before getting it Duke Nukenem the worse game ever made is going for couple of bucks brand new cuz nobody buy them.

A friend of mine just purchased a new Halo4 from there for only 29 dollar because there so many used gaming retailer in our town selling them for same price and they are overstocked on brand new Halo4 they need to get rid of it.

We have a huge store called Entertainment and they sell thousands of used games, dvd, blueray, laptop, iphone, all gaming consoles brand so Gamestop have no choice but to mark their used game depending on the market demand and value of our town. They price their higher than Gamestop so I rarely buy anything there unless Gamestop happen not to have any what I wanted.

We also can pick up a bunch of good used game off craigslist too.

You probably live in a small town or a town that Gamestop happens to be the only business that deals with used games or there not many used games retailer in your town so it expected for them to price their used game higher.

I found out that PS4 will support similar used game strategies as Xbox One but Sony said it is TOTALLY up to publishers.

The publishers can make game unrestricted or restricted.

No, it's common even in Washington state. I've seen them charging it $1-2 less than the brand new version and those are the games that are few months old not 2-3 years old.
 
Hmm... I believe that Xbox One will be heavyweight over lightweight. Almost same as original xbox.

It can be between $1 to $5.

you forgot to mention odyssey, atari series, commodore, gameboy, neo geo, 3DO, PC, virtual boy (i have one myself...), PSP, Vita, etc as well as 40s/50s/60s government projects

I'm talking about home console and have major market.

There is reason that I didn't list Neo Geo, 3DO, Atari Jaguar because they were small market, also 3DO and Atari Jaguar came out in 1993 - early 32 bit.

PC is more continuing generation - I'm focus on transformation of game consoles.

I remember playing games on the Neo Geo. They felt like arcade games played at home. My school dorm counselor owned it. The games were $150-200 each, yikes!

Don't forget Valve may enter the console war against Sony and Microsoft soon. They are developing and testing prototypes this year. May God know what's happening once Valve released their gaming system to the gaming world.

console? It is more PC style box.

Xbox One, PS4, Wii U are pure console because you cannot have same function as PC and OS, but Steam Box will come with Windows OS and allow you to have same feature as PC.

Yes and no. It designed to be affordable and mini-sized PC console capable of run any games through Steam but can be plugged to any television. Valve want to expend Steam to PC or existed console users with little or no experience in custom gaming computers. Either Linux or Window OS can be installed by choice.
