Everyone be careful driving though, for sure.

Guess what? Its gonna snow in Charlotte and the rest of NC and your gonna miss it baby!! :P

"Been there and done that" is an expression. It means a person has already experienced what you're going through now.

The meaning is correct but you haven't been to these states so you can't really say you have 'been' there to have 'done' that.

I'm glad im not up north. I recall freezing in Chicago. I don't miss that.

Try Upstate New York!

Up here, it is very rare for anyone to close business, school, daycare and so on. Even when the weather is so bad, they won't UNLESS county declare state of Emergency which rarely happened. It was 0 degree this morning with chill factor of about -15, my kids STILL go school.

Yup, snow, ice is everywhere here and right now bright sunny, still 8 degrees outside.

I will NEVER NEVER NEVER drive in snow/ice again after my car stranded in our neighborhood (not far from entrance) and I was planning go to Walmart but I can't. I had walk up to my house with umbrella as ski pole. :(

My car doesn't have snow tire and traction control didn't help to drive my car up to driveway.

I called local police department (non-emergency number) and let know and they made report about my car stranded so they will ensure that my car will not towed, also they will come to my house to check.

And this is why I don't ride bicycles during the winter-- I don't want to be doing a random 180 somewhere and come face-to-face with heavy metal. I'll keep to warmer weather riding, thanks.

You should lucky that you got snowplow and salt/sand truck, but in here, none.

Yes, we have, but it doesn't get everything. This is why I prefer temps over 65 for riding my bicycle, and not below 40. If temps fall below 40 at any time during November, I call it a season. Bicycle season begins in April, and ends November 1st. However, I try to ride as long as I can, usually until right before Thanksgiving Day.
