Probably not. We actually did walk out and it was fun. I had the most fun as I felt the icy spots first with my cane.

My daughter is not blind but has -12 diopter correction, which is not 20/20 with glasses, so she does tend to trip. She wears contacts that work better when she works in the hospital.

I felt quite invigorated when we got back. Of course her dad was at work . Lucky she only live a couple of blocks from our house, but she trudged off home by 8pm. She claimed a need to study for a nursing test on Monday.

Don't be afraid to ask... haha. I work with developmental disabled residents on the weekends and Enterprise Rent A Car during the weekdays (Monday thru Friday)

He was a fantastic dog. We loved him to death. When we had to move, we couldn't take him with us, so a friend who had a scrap yard got him and he bacame a guard dog. He is still there, just very old. He's now 24.

A 24 year old dog???? That's a miracle dog. Reminds me of the King of Queens episode where Doug's childhood dog was 27......Turns out they had replaced it 4 times without telling him:lol:

The average life span of the North American or European dog is 12.8 years. This is a large increase in life span over the past 100 years and is mostly attributable to better food and better medical care. Within this 12.8 year average for all dogs is a large range of life spans where certain breeds live longer and certain breeds live less long. In general, larger dogs live shorter lives than smaller dogs. This is due to the fact that the bodies of larger dogs must work harder (are more stressed) than the bodies of smaller dogs. That said, the life expectancy of any one dog in particular is ALSO determined by the stresses in its life (both physical and psychological), what it eats and how well it is taken care of.

Interesting lifespan list you provided there, Post from Hell.

That list shows the English Setter averages 11.2 years old....my dog lived to be over 14 years old, so he was above the average.

YES!! I love that episode! He also finds out that "super kindergarten" wasn't so super, and that he was born in Montreal.

Basset Hound (12.8)

The typical basset usually lives from 8-12 years. I guess some are living longer now? We had a basset that was almost 17 when we had to put her down.

My beloved cat lived 17 years. My vet's cats live around 20 years.

I hope that my dogs live at least that long. I can't bear to say goodbye too soon.

We are not home yet although we are in MD. Just picked up our son from my inlaws and now on the way to get my daughter. My body feels like it will crash soon. 2 nights of staying up until 4 am and all that walking in NYC is a lot all at once! One of my calves keeps cramping.
Even when we get home, we still have to get the kiddos and ourselves ready for the work/school week.

I wish 3 day weekends were mandatory..need 1 day to recover from the weekend festivities.

All worth it though!

How about we push for federal labor laws to state that we work 3 days and off four!

Hmm, so no gas and no getting stuff at store for 4 days out of a week? Seems kinda troublesome doesn't it? :cool2:
