Big time! I was going to take a picture when we went out today, but found out I forgot my BB.

Take my word for it though there are snowdrifts taller than me!
Iowa must be one of these in the U.S midwest which got snowed in -- have an report in the local newspaper stating that the midwest has just got a snowstorm -- BUT the east area of U.S has been spared.

Please send some of that snow here. I could stand a few snow days off from work.

You are correct. Just where I am is the worst according to our national weather.

Whew (blows hair off forehead) now the kiddies are 'pretending' to be taking a nap

Oh...

You never a snow-day?

That's okay, I never had one. We had white-outs that allow for no schools or business days, but that's about it.
rare down here, last time as last year (I missed - cause I lived up north)

I hear, it snowed only few days ago in D.C?

Yeah, it did. But it was on a Saturday. Totally worthless. Doesn't count as a snow day if it's on the weekend and prevents you from going out and getting things done. Plus, the snow didn't really stick..by Sunday evening it had just about all melted. Boo.

So the whole town shuts down when it snow? As in no requirement to go to work or school?

Neat.
No, not that heavy the U.S snow does, it is snow and then melts when lands. Fluffy, I'll say - everyone was at work, school and whatever, as snow occured in the middle of the day

We here in the Washington Metropolitan area have a very low tolerance for snow. Lol, doesn't take much for the DC goverment to shut down. A couple of inches along with some ice will just about do it. :P

I bet the people from Quebec, Ontario, Maine, Vermont and so on are laughing at you guys.

Only way we have "no schools" here is... when we have a white-out.

So it means when the white out is declared they would bring out this?

I use that for my computer. Fixes the errors quite nicely. Although I will need a new laptop soon... can't see crap on here.
