So i just finished my asl final a few hours.. Took me hours. i hate being on camera. but surprisingly.. even tho there were a few mistakes ( inevitable) but I feel pretty good about it i would show you the vid.. but im too embarrassed :P
 
Wow... that was amusing. Had to strip down in court just to pick up the paperwork, that metal detector buzzed four friggin' times before I was finally admitted :roll:

The culprit? SHOES!!

In those situations, I would remove my shoes before I would remove any other article of clothing. I think the metal lace eyelets or even a steel toe boot could set off the metal detector. Plus they're easily removable and easy to put back on.

Now as for me, I know I would set off a detector - I have metal rods in my mouth.

Ah gotcha... I was wearing casual black shoes with no metal in sight, I was baffled. I probably would have removed my bra before I thought about removing my shoes! I'm used to wearing flip flops anyways but I'll be sure to keep that in mind! Thanks :)
 
How far did you have to strip down before you bothered with your shoes?
 
I got my new hearing aids tonight! They are clear Phonak Certenas. :) Very nice. Fancy gadgets on it too!

Jacket, my belt (had to hold on to my pants, it was loose!), my piercings (that shall not be named), was checkin' the base of my bra when a woman finally grabbed my attention (among a crowd of worthless men) and informed me to remove the shoes :shock:

I gave the evil eye to the smug cops, they were grinning the whole time.

She added 4 programs into my hearing aid: phone (which I've always had), comfort noise (something like that... I forget the exact name... it's for zooming in on a conversation), music (zooming in on it) and mute (so I don't have to turn off the hearing aid). I just press the button either 1, 2, 3 or 4 times to get the program I want. I've never had something like it before. The only feature I've ever had is the phone feature.

Wow those sound really cool, Loghead. How do they work for you?
