Bye guys!:bye: I'm leaving the office for the day. Catching my flight to San Diego this evening. I'll be checking in periodically. Try not to have too much fun without me. ;)

Have a good trip, girl!

Holy Moly. When did AD become a place for cliches to form and start ganging up on people? I'm quite saddened by what I'm seeing in a number of threads these past few days. Just what I'm thinking at the moment ...

Yea, quite frankly I'm tired of it and two threads been locked because of that. *sigh*

I noticed that too. I came back and noticed bashing...oh well.

Holy Moly!!

Since when differences of opinions, meant bashing?

It does not mean some one is basing another!

Since when people get so "defensive over that?"

Since when a person can not express what they feel? With out another being offended.

Like I have posted in another thread.

Everything is so politically corrected that no one can actually speak what they feel with out some one being offended.

What ever happened to "Freedom of Speech?"

I'm all for freedom of speech. But when comments are deliberately targeted towards one person, over and over and over again, that does become bashing. A large number of us have been seeing that going on as of late - we've been talking about it outside of the threads. Apparently the mods are noticing this trend too, since they're locking threads again.

Nobody shouldn't be ganged up on, I think it's unfair. Freedom of speech is allow but respect comes along with it. Respect other people's right to hold differing opinions. It's easy to play favorites because people agree with each others and that they're friends, they gang up on a person that they don't agree with is wrong. But, whatever that's just my opinion.

Personally, I think it is great that the deaf/Deaf/HOH are speaking out on these topics and expressing their POV. For too long, throughout history, they were not permitted input into the services they were provided, nor input regarding what is most helpful to them. It is only a shame that people still attempt to discount their authority on their own needs, and things escalate into bans. But what better place for them to speak than a deaf forum?

I just wish that ALL health insurances would read this forum. Therefore they can change the policy for hearing aids to be coverage as well. So i can make choice to pick hearing aids over CI. My current insurance only covers with CI, not hearing aids. :mad2:

I've got a few choice words concerning the insurance companies not covering HAs, but I'm afraid if I said them, I'd end up getting banned again!

awwwww i am dying to hear for your choice of writing about the insurance companies. I don't blame you for not wanting to be banned again once you were out for a whole month. oh no! Well i know that i will never change my insurance company minds. Obviously, we DEAF/HEARING LOSS people need to make object lists about having hearing aids BACK. When i was growing up, my dad's insurance covered it for my hearing aids about 80 percents and had my parents pay only 20 percents. That really helped a lot.
