I supposedly have no residual hearing, so I thought that meant I shouldn't be hearing anything. That's why I figure I'm imagining it. It's not really loud. It's in fact very soft. It reminds me of my audiology tests when I couldn't tell if I was actually hearing the beeps or if they were just my imagination.

I'm 100% deaf without my CIs and yet I still experience tinnitus. Tinnitus has nothing to do with your residual hearing since the sounds that are created are produced by the brain.

Oh, wow... it's worser than I thought. Right now, I can't really sleep well... due to headache, dizzy, and stomache a little...

I was so ill... I can't eat or drink until my stomache had gone so I can eat and drink something... I was dizzier and so sleepy. I somewhat don't remember what happened to me today... Oh, wow. Phew. At the least, I'm okay-okay... :dizzy:

Last weekend, I had really blast with my brother's birthday party at peirdo's pizza. I won 579 tickets, whoo hoo. haha ;) I brought spider man puzzle for my brother since he is a huge fan of that hero. I got flashy flashlight and slimy colorful spider-like ball. Oh ,yes I also dyed my hair. It's deep burgundy brown color. I will update it whenever I have time... :)

Thanks for clarifying. I guess I'm being simplistic by calling it my imagination, but yeah, I figured it was created by the brain. I'm usually annoyed at the doctor's office because the only way to communicate with anybody except my main doctor at my audiology clinic is pen and paper. I know that I read on another thread that some people prefer the pen and paper method, but it just annoys me and I just wanna go home. I think it's just too slow for me, and I hate seeing all that wasted paper. I understand you were confined to some slow communication methods for a while, and I understand how you feel now.

The main doctor at my audiology clinic speaks very well and is easy to lipread, but I'm still not that fond of lip-reading, so I'd just rather go home than ask unnecessary questions. Your explanation makes it clearer to me. I'm always nervous at the doctors. They used to think I had a blood pressure problem because it was always over 140/x, but they finally seem convinced it's white collar syndrome since it's a perfect 120/80 or very close to that (often lower) at home.

I'm talking too much. I need to get my bed dressed for me and try to sleep.

My imagination is driving me nuts today! All my life as long as I could hear, my mom has had a bird clock that would make a bird call every hour. All day today, I've been hearing the same call every 5 seconds over and over and over, and it won't shut up! :dizzy: I'm even imagining somebody spazzing out on the doorbell for hours on end

I have tinnitus too, what you desrcibed is not very nice..its like grond hog day but instead a day's length is 5 mins on doorbells, i feel for ya, sorry buddy, and i do know whay you mean 'my imagination is driving me nuts, its like it is not you controlling it, as if someone else 'borrowed' your inside head an decided to throw in the bloody doorbell noise for the heck of it...

but really hate to say I have had worse! like sirens going off LOUD for every 5 mins, for ons to end for like 10 months nonstop, doctors were clueless and unhelpful, Untill 2 years laters, the ENT suggested to try "serc", as its for menire's disease.. and within 2 weeks it worked... but i still get it, however much much softer and still irrating...as long as i keep myself busy..any distractions helps

I already love the pictures from yesterday for Lexi's 6 months old and First Christmas. They are GREAT! =D

You're welcome, SimplyMints. :)

Have you ever thought about using a TTY or BlackBerry to communicate with your doctors? Prior to my receiving CIs, I used my TeleBraille (Braille TTY) to communicate with mine when I didn't use tactile sign.

Your posts to me are never wasteful! You charge yourself, don't you? .. whenever you make a post? That's one way of making sure they're worth something!

Those are good suggestions for me to keep in mind! I keep coming across people talking about blackberries! I must admit, I at first thought they were talking about the kind that grow on spiny vines, but I'm not that naive anymore. :) Though again I admit I don't tend to expose myself to products I think might tempt me to spend more money. I should read up on them though and find out exactly what they actually are! Maybe one would be better than my cellphone which I use exclusively for texting.

:)

are you feeling better now!?

I do of course know what a TTY is! :giggle: I'm afraid that facility is pretty primitive though. I asked them if they could email me instead of leave voicemail messages, and they said they don't do that sort of thing. So I have them call my mom, and she interprets for me.

Those people are too backwards to reason with anyway. I mean, they even refused to hire my dad, who may be one of the best professional nurses (RN - BA) in the world. That's okay. When they denied him, he went and got himself an easy low-paying job at some old nursing home, and that nursing home went through some changes. Now, he says it's like working on a super deluxe Federation Medical Starship in the 24th century, and gets paid way more than the medical complex pays anybody!

Damn the 24 hours bug I had yesterday! UGHHH! I am glad I am starting feel better but not whole 100% yet...:)

There's so many little bugs and things going around this season! I got one that lasted almost 4 weeks.

Take care.

I'm sorry to hear that, LakeTahoe. Feel better soon! :)

I just had my flu shot the other day, so hopefully I'll be prepared this season against getting sick. I hope so anyways...

That's cool about your dad! :cool2: After all, how many of us can truly say we have a job that we love?

I wonder why your audiology center refuses to e-mail you. If they have the means to do so, then why not?

The only medical facility that contacts me by e-mail is my CI center. Everyone else calls me by phone. Prior to receiving CIs, I used to dial relay and have them call my answering machine to let me know what messages were left. Oftentimes the CA had difficulty understanding my messages since people didn't speak clearly (or spoke too fast) when leaving a message. :(
