Hey Byrdie, you need to be careful glad you are ok.

whoa Byrdie.... you're SO lucky to have cell phone with you. I have a lower back problem and I know exactly how you feel. I couldn't get up due to my back problem twice in my life. It was a horrible and painful experience. My mom had to help me get up the bed and it took like an hour. It was exhausting.

Since then.... I worked out to strengthened the back muscle and I haven't gotten much back problem. What's wrong with yours? Mine was due to weak muscle support around the lower back and a horrible muscle hypertension.

btw - did EMT break in or wha? was the door unlocked?

What started it was that I was pianting a bathroom and when I went to straightend myself up--I backed into the bathroom sink--HARD.

The EMT's came into my kitchen as it was opened. I was walking into the kitchen when the swinging door hit my back and that's how I ended up on the floor.

goddam.... well it's good to hear you're up and about :cool2:

Glad you are ok Byrdie!

I finally finished my dental work yesterday. The tooth in front of the one that got a crown had to be filled! My jaw is very sore and I have a headache!

The dentist did compliment my dental hygiene. Since I got a crown and a filling both, I thought that was weird. Maybe he thought he should say something nice since I was giving him so much money.

Tired...very tired.

I was so embarrassed yesterday afternoon!

I had a doctor's appointment--chiropractor-- and came home. I had to use the crutches to help me walk into the house.

I was walking into the kitchen and it happend.

I fell......and couldn't get up. There was nobody here and I was laying on the floor.

I tried calling a friend of mine to see if they were in the area to no avail since I had the cell phone on me.

So I called 911. " What's your emergency?" said the operator.

"I've fallen and I can't get up!"

While I was waiting for 911 to come, I tried to see if I was able to roll on my side to no avail since I have a lower back problem.

The ambulance arrived--thank god--no lights-- and came in and after 10 minutes, got me up again! :)

This morning I have to go back to chiropractor and luckily this time around--I'll have somebody with me to make sure I get back into the house okay!

Wow! Good thing you are ok!

Thanks everyone!

I just never thought I would say, "I've fallen and couldn't get up" like in those Medic Emergency commercials.....

Angela Lansbury. I liked her 80s series with "Murder, She Wrote".

The EMT's came in and said, "Whoa!"

I guess they didn't expect a late 30/early 40 something on the floor that is
6'9!

6'9.. wow! For once in my life, I'd give anything to look down at people than look up! :giggle:

It must be a strain on your back or joints being that tall??

I'm 10" shorter than that, and it's already a strain on my head every time I go down to my mom's, and I hit my head on the door jam because it's too low.

Ouch, Byrdie! Good luck on ur recovery of ur injury. I had no idea ur that tall!

I'm feeling a little better today but still have to watch it.

There is an occasional flare up of pain.

yes it does... the curse of being tall. Even though I'm only 5'6".... my torso is "abnormally" longer than normal... which is a typical problem found in tall people.

I didn't know that Jiro.

I'm 5'3 and I don't like being short. The doctor measured me and said I was actually 5'2 and a half but I rounded it off. Who's going to know the difference? :giggle:

Wow! Good thing you are ok!

I couldnt help but laugh at his response to the 911 operator! LOL.

HELP IVE FALLEN AND I GET UP!

Im glad your OK now Byrdie. Take it easy next time wouldja?

Well....I used to make jokes about that comment as well. Until it happend to me!

Guess it goes to show that what goes around comes around.

it was happened during softball league game and i ROBBED a homerun then i landed on hole on the ground, [bam], sprained, and out of the league. Dammit. 2 weeks out to use boot and its makes me uncomfortable to wear it since im not used to it.

Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps has a freakishly long torso.

Are you a good swimmer, Jiro?:giggle:
