The Americans

Jenni, the Forum is public for Americans and non-Americans to view. We can post if we feel like to.

It doesn't mean that I bash or belittle Americans or anti-american when I quoted American ADer's post to give him right about foreign countries and choose to not say anything what I think about the article in my first post. I do not see anything that I bash/insult the article... Anyway, some ADers quoted my post to demand the source, etc. It doesn't mean that I bash or belittle them when I expressed my view about their response posts toward me because I felt thru their posts itself is an anti-foreigner...

Yes, I said many foreign countries around the world are equal, no matter what... I :ty: them for their kind thoughful word and support offer. It's me, period.

I do remember getting a lot of aid and compassion from other countries for 9/11, and the author of that article forgot that.

*nodding sadly and :ty: for remember*

It annoys me after read the article for a first time but I choose to say nothing about article but gave someone right about foreign countries in my first post.

How could the author forget about 9/11 if it hasn't happened yet? If you notice, the article was written before 9/11 happened!!

:ty: for get my attention.

Yes, you are right that the author wrote that article in 1973.

I am surprised and wondering myself why the thread creator created the old article of 1973 here.

Whoa, take a deep breath. Yes, thanks for pointing that out. It now makes me wonder why this article is revelant today, with all the new information in mind. Just seems a bit misguiding.

even though it was written in 1973, the main point of it is pretty much true - Americans did more than the foreign countries did for us.

I still find it misguiding, lacking current information and being motivated more by pride rather than facts. I have my doubts because of how the news are reported and it would be easy to see we did lots more than other countries when the news in USA report certain things.

The author wrote this in 1973. He died in 1984. He couldn't write about 9/11/2001.

Here's the rest of the story:

Why?

Because many ADers weren't even alive in 1973, so they possibly haven't read this before.

Do we have to state motives each time we create a thread? Maybe I should ask you "why" you create your threads. :hmm:

Accord the link author wrote "a rebuttal to Gordon Sinclair" ... Accord the link author:

Shortly after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, widespread coverage on the Internet was given to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. Here is his original text. What follows is my rebuttal to his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record.

Everything but the kitchen sink

That's why I was skeptical when Secretblend got my attention to point the date of article, you posted. I searched to find out and want to know why and when this old article of 1973 brought up to get anyone's attention. That's one I found out and assume that someone use Gordon Sinclair's article to get everyone's attention after 9/11 which is really sad because Gordon Sinclair is not longer alive. :(

Remarkable: the link author do not against Gordon Sinclair itself but someone who use Gordon Sinclair's article because Gordon Sinclair himself did not remind us again after 9/11.

I see no problem to create the thread to motive something but this thread? Do you call this thread, you created with article as a motive?

Maybe I should ask you "why" you create your threads. :hmm:

Here is my answer: Sure, I create many threads to motive something, not create pride threads to brag anyone.

It touched me and I wanted to share it.

Here is my answer: Sure, I create many threads to motive something, not create pride threads to brag anyone.
That's right; you prefer to squelch the pride of other posters by creating critical threads.

So, you do your thing, and I'll do mine.

Yes, it´s about you. I say nothing and find sad.

That's right; you prefer to squelch the pride of other posters by creating critical threads.

Yes, that´s right because the information are being misguiding should be stop. We need to look the fact, not look at our pride.

I find it funny that you say that. I think that's interesting cause of all the people on AD, you are most guilty of doing that.
