Spoooooooky stuff...

Wow, this thread went off base pretty fast. Guess it is just as touchy as religion.

Winston Churchill said it well:

"A man has to believe in something. I believe I'll have another drink".

Yeah...which is why I made a point to get it back on track.

Apparently, it would seem religion rears it's ugly head, especially when people hold to some pretty stanch personal dogma and view other beliefs as wrong or evil just because it doesn't sit on their end of the pew. ;)

I agree with churchhill...damn...wish I had something to drink. LOL

Robot Explorer Set to Reveal Secrets of Great Pyramid of Giza

Then the day of the wikileak dump, November 29, 2010, Dr. Ala Shaheen, head of the archaelogy department of Cairo University admitted that the there are alien artifacts inside of the Pyramids. :hmm:

If this were not all actually facts, i would think it was just another Stargate episode.

WHOA! Dr. Shaheen actually admitted it!? HOLY SHIT! Thanks for the links and this very interesting tidbit of info. My hubby who does writing for a website dealing with extraterrestrials and UFOs wrote an article about the prior statement reportedly given by Dr. Shaheen...this update will be of great interest to him!

Dr Shaheen's response

And what of Dr Shaheen? What has he to say about the matter, especially since this alleged news report, which could well tarnish his good reputation in the eyes of his contemporaries?

I received the follow email from Dr Shaheen on December 1, 2010:

"Kindly be informed that I did not gave such stupid statement about aliens and Pyramids. As [I am] Egyptologist I could [not] say such stupid words and ideas."

No Alien Technology inside the Great Pyramid

Initially, I put up a link to the news story on Facebook, saying that it would be interesting to learn what Dr Shaheen really had said, and joking that if he did say anything of the sort then it was unlikely that his contract would be renewed by his employers (either the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) or Cairo University).

no, no pressure at all.

Perplexed by what had been written about his colleague, Dr Shaheen's friend wrote: "I know he would not say this unless there is massive evidence [to support such claims]. This man is … very very skeptic[al] about all theories [that do] not conform [to] the established archaeologic paradigm"

Where is the copy of the alleged email from Shaheen?

I also do not understand why the author of your linked article goes to great lengths blasting away at the "nutty" beliefs of the source of the news article then says the following himself:

One last thing. I would love it if a super crystal of Atlantean or alien origin were to be found inside the Great Pyramid, or anywhere else on the plateau for that matter. I have dreamt of such a discovery! The problem is this: firstly, there is nothing to directly link Plato's concept of Atlantis with Egypt; secondly, there is currently no proof that aliens have visited the earth, and, lastly, there is as yet no evidence that any such super crystal exists. Believe me, I wish the evidence was there, what a revelation that would be! All I can say is that when a crystal of this order is discovered, I'll let you know.

sounds fishy to me. It would appear that Andrew Collins is making these "crystal" believers out to be severe wackos, but take a look at his own articles:

http://www.andrewcollins.com/page/articles/index.htm

it would appear he is nothing more than a glory seeker that wants all the credit - and I quote from his website:

Andrew exclusively reveals his discovery and investigation of a massive, previously unknown complex of caves, chambers and passageways beneath the Pyramids of Giza, and its implications for the search for the mythical Hall of Records.

Or it could be that universities don't want unreliable professors on their faculties.

Where is the copy of the alleged email from Shaheen?
Where is an original transcript or further reporting from anyone else at the conference?

He's trying to show that he's not adverse to the theory of extraterrestrials but simply doubting this particular statement.

I think Shaheen's statement requires more research before taking it at face value to be any kind of significant scientific revelation.

There are others who don't agree with her conclusions, too. :)

It's interesting how people are more willing to believe that aliens from other planets are "out there" than to believe that God is in control of the universe. :hmm:

:laugh2:

good point and there are even concrete evidence like... blood-stain cloth.

and yet... you don't see anything fishy in your post #142?

Oh yeah. Fake, supposedly, but I will not worry about it.
I don't either. I don't put much stock in religious relics. They put the focus on the material rather than the spiritual, and tend to put emphasis on worshiping objects.
