it's not that they're trigger-shy. They SEVERELY lack any military muscle and funds to enforce its orders. That's why they rely heavily on Americans.

Why exist if it can't enforce its own resolutions? Although great for venting, I think military actions should be left out of the UN Anyway. I wonder what it contributes to military ops from contributions it receives from member countries?

UN's a place for all nations to agree/disagree with each other.... such as Geneva Convention but other than that.... it's pretty much useless.

Agreed. And irrelevant, too.

The UN would be better off if there is no power of veto.

NATO and UN are different though. NATO is created by USA for mainly military purpose. People did have complained of unfairness that UN is located in USA and suggested that UN HQ be moved to a neutral country like... Switzerland which makes sense to me.

NATO is created by several European countries, Canada and USA, not only USA in order to protect western European countries from the Soviet Union military originally when the North Atlantic Treaty was signed in 1949. At that time, the USA was needed to be there to support those countries against the Soviet Union and its Warsaw Pact allies because of its mighty military was able to match the Soviet Union's mighty military. Since the collapse of the Warsaw Pact, the mandate of NATO has been changed.

Speaking of UN, I prefer a new organization to replace this ineffective and irrelevant organization and have a new HQ on a neutral country like Sweden or Switzerland.

If the UN HQ is moved to Switzerland, it still remains as an ineffective and irrelevant organization. That is why I prefer a new organization where no countries like USA, Russia, France, China and United Kingdom would have no power of veto.

The Russians provided the tanks and NOW they are asked to take notice (because they DIDN'T)?
