No! It's because some of them are innocent that they did not commit a crime. It is the one that police overstep the wrong path because they abuse people, and they think that they are capable to be in the power. The police just tell the judge that these people broke the law. Most police are waived what they did was wrong.

No, all deaf people should not get death except hearing people. Oops, did I say that? :ugh3:

I voted no why? cuz deaf need to understand that we are all the same expect we can't hear... blah I don't know why people don't want deaf die by death and rather live the hell life in jail if it was me I wud go ahead and let the hell freeze over my body and let me die in peace :P cuz I wud not want to waste time in jail listening to crap and all anyways sorry if I go off topic here :)

I think the he assumption is they are guilty as charged. Angel can clearify. Everyone deaf and hearing are innocent until proven guilty (at least in America they are)

Police brutality and abuse of power (to me) is a seperate issue. But as I pointed out above, brutality and power abuse also happens to hearing as well

Depends on their Knowledges of Right and Wrong

If deaf knows the differences between right from Wrong ...I say Yes deaf should be on death row..

Takin' the life of someone is totally Wrong..

I myself is hearin' impaired..

It don't matters if you are deaf, hoh or hearin' whatever..

Everyone of us knows better not to kill someone that are wrong..

The Bible said (You must not Murdered), periodly

I do knows many have the evilness inside their heart desirin' to kill someone they hated so bad still is wrong..

Takin' the life of a human being it very wrong, it makes sense to have someone excuted because they tooks someone else life.

My Belief

I am morally and ethically against the death penalty.

Bad news, she's goes to jail for life instead of death.

Why?

That's wonderful new that they sentence her to life instead of sentence her to death. I would consider it as murder if they sentence her to death. It's good thing that they sentenced her to life... :thumb:

It's her judge's decide.

I found news in event section but cannot find it right now.

I knew Dalphine Wright at school. She was pretty nice and was a great athletic. I admit that the magnitude of the crime she committed had greatly shocked me this is clearly not the same person i knew back in school.

cutting up a person indicates that she lost control of her anger. Once you commit a crime, it becomes easier to do it again... or you learned your lesson.

From the most recent pictures of her, she has certainly changed her personality!

Sad situation but she has to earn what she had done. I know her brother well and he's a nice guy.

I am not comfortable to read this issue, and it is sad. It's time to close this issue. I am sorry. Thank you.

Maybe you can stop reading this if you do not feel comfortable. I do not venture in other topics that I would not feel comfortable reading....

There are plenty of topics you can venture and still enjoy it... I know some refuse to come in debate sections... some do come in and enjoy the debating....

Everyone is different... I can wholly understand anyone in regards of feeling comfortable or not... but you do not need to leave ALLDeaf.com

If she committed a heinous crime, she should be punished by death. I don't care what she is.

I agree totally! Doesnt matter whether he/she is deaf
or not! If that person committed an henious crime like
murder, then he/she should be put to death! except
for mentally challenged/mentally ill people, no!
After all, a murderer should get the taste of his/her
medicine, heh!

I voted don't know because it just said disabled, too. Disabled could refer to a mental illness that causes someone to loose touch with reality completely. But I really don't agree with the death penalty at all, because it has been proven that minorities and the vunerable are subjected to capital punishment disproportionately. It is not applied equally across the board based on offense. Therefore, our prisons are full of people who have committed heinous crimes but are sentenced to life, and our history is full of executions for murders committed with extenuating circimstances. Many people have been placed in prison for life or for extended sentences only to discover later that they were wrongly convicted. Had they been executued, we could not bring them back to life. For me, to risk executing even one innocent person in the name of retribution is too great a risk to take. Oops, I'm sorry just doesn't help much when the sate has executed an innocent person. Our justice system is run by humans and humans make mistakes.

I agree! I am totally against the death penalty because sometimes people DO get it wrong. I could be convicted of murder just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's all possible.
