What you mean? j/k:lol:

Why pay $40.000 a year to let them live???? That's the cost (in TX) to house one prisoner. Some will argue that appeals are more expensive.....well, we need to reform the appeals process too.

First, we ALREADY have unequal treatment toward people. A black man is more likely to be put on death row than a white man - there's nothing you can escape from that fact. That is wrong. Why should we let a retarded man get away with murder while a normal IQ person gets death punishment? Murder is murder - even a retarded man in most cases knows its wrong to kill. Murderers have NO respect for life but it doesn't mean we have to show them by ending their lives. Also, we don't allow executions on juveniles despite the same outcome. Seriously, no rational person would kill a human being unless its in self-defense.

Second, it costs $$$. Even CA had to stop executions because of $$$.

Third, we've executed innocent people and when we do that, gross injustice is carried out. New DNA evidence exonerated more than 15 people on death row yet the DNA testing was done in a small percent of cases.

Fourth, there is no conclusive evidence that death penalty would deter crimes.

I know people want justice and at first glance, "life for life" sounds like the right thing but even Jews know that the judicial process can be faulty and as a result, most don't support it anymore. And Jesus clearly would not support death penalty, after all, he was put to death just because people wanted him dead.

First......I am equal opportunity. I say execute all who murder someone else. Juvi's offender have been executed in the U.S. but by the time they exhaust their appeals they are usually adults. I have no problem with executing the mentally challenged either.

Second.....It's the appeals that costs money......5 minutes of electricity is cheap. Rope is even cheaper. Bullets are cheap and fast.

Third......I have said if there was no doubt, meaning witnesses or photos like the case in this thread.

Fourth......I don't care if it deters others.....But I bet if we use it for gun crime too it will. Kuwait had the death penalty for DWI (may still) they have almost no DWIs

I would answer your last comment but we are not allowed to discuss religion in here. If I were you I would study up on that though.

I know people who will go around offering parents of children who are sexually abused by people who are already convicted to have the suspect "taken care of" while they are in prison.

These people have people in the prisons that owes them a favor or two.

In other words.. mobsters that have people in prisons owing them a favor. Mobsters tell them to kill the suspect if requested.

Do they have respect for life? Perhaps not. However, they have better respect for society.
