no one is calling Sarah Palin a slut but she's a farce because she was the one with influence and power to push down her belief onto us.

example - she was preaching left and right about abstinence program..... and yet her daughter and she had premarital sex....

Obama's uncle was a straight idiot. He got drunk then told the cops to call the white house. That arrogant fool deserved to be in jail. From my knowledge, Palin was single and the athlete was so also. Should this be a big deal because of their different races? If so, thats a little racist. Who cares considering that it happen in 87. Life goes on. How would you like it if every little thing you've ever done was exposed and made a big deal of. I bet you wouldn't like it, would you?

Palin can preach all she wants but her daughter made her own decision to have sex before marriage. It's not her parents fault at all. They taught her the right way, and the daughter grew up and made up her own mind. I guess since that's your argument, parents of murders and rapists should be put in jail also? I'm pretty sure that all of them taught their child not to harm another person, but they did it any way. Everyone must be accountable for their own actions. So don't blame Palin for her daughters actions.

I seriously bet that you do things that your parents taught you not to do. So, are they bad parents now?

When you sign up for a life in politics, write books, have a TV reality program, and host a TV commentary, you have no right to expect privacy. Same thing as if you become a football player but demand to not be tackled.

Only when they demonstrate racism in their posts that can easily be pointed out. I also call people out on their unconscious use of audism, as well, and any other ism I detect. I have a social conscious and detest mind sets that are oppressive and permitted to proliferate because no one has the guts to speak out about it. Problem with that? Oh well.

Yep. I see not only racism in some of these remarks, but sexism as well. In fact, the whole topic smacks of both. Without a great deal of both, this would never have been an issue worth discussing. But, of course, the sexists will deny their culpability, too.

Yes, you have every right to expect privacy. That is what is wrong with this country and world (among other things). Your job is to speak about the issues, not about what's going on in your life. People need to stop all the "hero worship/ star worship" and leave people's private lives alone; stop being so nosey. I guess since you have that: "It goes with the territory" logic, every police officer, fireman, banker, even the every day people who get randomly interviewed by news casters while they are carrying on with their lives, etc should have their personal past exposed. Like, if they stole a candy bar when they were 5; or played with matches when they were 7; or took/ stole money from their parents or someone else at the age of 10; or spent any amount of time in a juvenile detention center; possibly something worse. By that logic, all the info on their lives including their past should be made public. These people are suppose to protect our neighborhoods, have something to do with politics, and are held in high regard so I should know about these things. Is that fair for a person that was randomly stopped while getting coffee, and asked their opinion on some random topic? NO! Its not. Also, if we continue with that logic, we should know every single purchase a cop, fireman, etc makes; we pay their salaries so we should be aware of how they spend OUR money. Sounds crazy doesn't it? Now, you need to think twice before you use that "Its comes with the territory" argument. I bet you wouldn't like it if it were you.

If you actually knew anything about football, you would know that tackling is apart of the defensive job. You have to keep the other team from scoring and tackling is apart of the job that a football player signs up for. So, that argument is invalid.

If I wouldn't like it, then I shouldn't be in politic. I shouldn't be preaching to public if my backyard isn't clean.
