San Franciso Banned Bottle water?

Damn , I hope my mayor of my city does not see this thread , she would love to do this .

I think San Francisco has engineers working overtime coming up with things that will allow them to squeeze every last dime out of it's citizens and tourists.

Maybe there is a time limit on how long you can park in one spot ? There is a 3 hours limits to park in one spot at parking lot in my city. People that work down town will move their to another parking space to avoid getting a ticket .

The meters with the sensors have a 2 hour limit.

Can move your car to another parking space to avoid getting a ticket ? I only got two parking tickets my whole life, not bad.

Yes, you can do that, but your talking SF where parking is hard enough as it is. When I was going to college I got eight parking tickets and fought all but one, (I was guilty on that one) and won all seven of them!

Make it happen!

Makes sense, or it's only a matter of time before the Pacific garbage patch washes ashore and becomes a common eyesore.

Years ago I parked my car on the street and there where no meters only a long row of poles up and when I got back to my car about 2 hours later I had a parking ticket , parking meters had been installed on the poles . There was no one around working on the poles and I did not live in that city so I did not know when the meters would be installed . I went to the police department and told them what happen and one cop asked if I been drinking. The cop thought I was drunk b/c of my HOH accent. I had to pay for the ticket.

A person could get a $300 fine for feeding the ducks in my city . A BPA-free bottle for water would be useless in my city most people can't stand the taste of the city water and some people do not drinking water with fluoride added to it.

Take a hacksaw, cut the meter off, take picture with ticket next to it and say there wasnt a meter on the pole. Done.

and you have a little pocket change later.

In the city, years ago someone went around cutting the meters off, never got caught but the city quit installing them...lol

The Pacific garbage patch isn't moving, it's just getting bigger and deeper. One guy has a large ship he's designed to scoop up the trash and incinerate it, which will power the ship, but he said it would still take years or decades to get rid of all of the garbage with only one ship. The size of the patch has been put at the size of the state of Texas or some have put it at as large as the continental US.

The city where I live keep adding parking meters in the downtown area and increasing the cost of a parking ticket to generate revenue and it has also increased the parking fees for parking garages and by doing this the downtown area has continued to lose patrons and all the businesses are complaining. The city has also for as long as I can remember been saying they are going to revitalize the downtown area, but because they can't see the forest thru the trees people stay away because why would anyone want to pay to park when they can park for free anywhere else in the city and do the same thing they can do downtown?

Get a reverse osmosis water filter system installed and no matter how bad your water is, you will get bottled water quality coming out of the tap. You can also get a filter that removes the fluoride too! The only drawback to reverse osmosis is that you lose at least one gallon of water for each gallon you use.

Does it remove fluoride from the water too , I do not like it added to my water b/c my city will get it from China to save money . They where doing this and said that would not happen anymore but I do not trust my mayor .

With the right filter, yes, it will remove the fluoride. If your city is getting the fluoride from China I hope they are at least testing it before adding it to the water.

an RO system will remove EVERYTHING but the O2 molicules...lol
We have a 5 filter system we used for pure water for the saltwater aquariums we had, best water you ever tasted pure. removes impurities, chemicals, tastes, smells...ect...
thing is, if you are on metered water, your bill will increase as there is a lot of waste water flushed through it... I would think for every gallon, you only get maybe a pint or less of pure drinking water. Also the filters, depending on how often used, can get expensive.

I get the impression that this could be installed to just one tap and get just drinking water out of that one. If so, that would help the waste and cost.
