Lowe's said they withdrew after receiving complaints from FFA.

:dunno2:

That is not in the release I saw... They had 2 releases that I have seen and they never mentioned an org by name. In fact they said many groups and individuals. Perhaps you have seen a different release :dunno:

If you are correct it is amazing a small group could have such an immediate and large impact. Especially without tents and stuff :P

A period does not a sentence make.:) It was an incomplete phrase with incorrect punctuation.

SMH. You know what really is disturbing? The fact that AD can be so easily accessed by anyone, and things like this being posted have the propensity be generalized to the entire deaf population. Such a shame that truly progressive, intelligent, reasonable deaf individuals are subjected to that. I see now why so many believe that the deaf are overly concrete in their cognitive processes.. What a shame that the whole is judged based on a small minority.

No need to worry. If one reads the posts it is obvious who the tiny minds are.

Interesting. I didn't know this. The guy in the TLC show married a Lebanese Muslim woman who gave up his 16 yr old beagle named Wrigley only because his wife/Islam said that dogs are unclean. Her father would not have been able to come over and worship. The husband ended up dropping his loyal dog off at the pound. This was seen in the last minute of one show.

:/

The whole idea of converting others is a practice unique to Christians, and even then, mostly to Protestant Christians. I mean, how many Jews or Muslims do you see walking around knocking on doors and leaving pamplets or offering to transport your kids to "Sunday school" on the church van?

Yes, like stereotyping Christians.

Where exactly do you see that happening? I don't think I have ever seen anyone make a remark that Christians are all blonde haired and blue eyed or that they only live in a particular geographical area.:dunno2:

Not blonde, but the "converting" thing. Anyhow, I am not going to try to debate this. Logic is too logical to sway when all someone has is faith. There is no logic to my faith. It just is. *shrug*

Why not discuss why there are so few black swimmers in the Olympics, or why there are so few whites on the 100 meter Olympic track team? Nothing stereotyped there...

I don't see any of that going on here. Why are you so insecure about your new organization's policies that you feel the need to defend them at every instance?

(I specifically chose that wording, since it appears that wall street rules the world, according to this. . .

So let's just not speak to power and injustice and make apologies for it. Is that okay? Being right about this doesn't mean it IS right.
I don't need to defend anything. I just find it ironic how everyone is rushing to defend the Muslims; the same group that follows me around and picks on my religious choice. When I said I did not care what religion people follow, you attacked that as contrary to my "organization's" party line as if tolerance is a non-Christian thing. I make my own decisions on how I feel about things.

I agree. Most likely, it is not the same people you see. Intelligence is in the eye of the beholder.

I'll be glad to discuss the sociological reasons behind such. There are any number of valid variables that affect outcomes such as the ones you list. Would you like to provide your assessment of the reasons for such?

I pasted your post. You want to play the spin game. Not interested.

Pasted it where? That wasn't a spin. There are numerous sociological variables that are responsible for the outcomes you mentioned. You brought it up. It was perfectly reasonable to think that you wanted to discuss it.:dunno2: I was even going to suggest starting a thread on the topic, because you are taking this thread completely off topic. But I guess you don't want to discuss it after all. It must have just been a poorly disguised attempt at making racial remarks.

You talked about stereotypes. I made a one sentence comment. You and your posse have spent the rest of the page trying to smother me.

I will not debate religion with you. Sorry. Want to talk football?

Religion has nothing to do with it. I was referring to the sociological implications in the two sports related populations you referred to. Religion wasn't connected in any way, shape or form.:dunno2:
