rich gets richer

That shows how little you know.

People can be concerned about both. One can be concerned with what the President does AND be involved with serving and giving to their communities.

Never said it wasn't possible. Just something that is rarely seen. Re: how much or how little I know...by the judgement of those handing out degrees, I know more than you would give me credit for.

Since the title of this thread is "Rich gets richer" the focus would be money, yes.

Then why your complaint about my mentioning money?

The title of the thread rarely has much to do with the focus the thread takes.

He could simply continue giving, and increase his giving, to the charities he's been giving to for years. There's no need to set up anything.

Why do you keep making up lame excuses for him?

Probably the same reason you, and a few others, keep coming up with lame excuses to villify him.

If i could preach them what the bible say about people boasting and complaining who gives more, I would.

Exactly. Ironic that some of those who are very outspoken regarding their religious convictions are complaining the most.:cool2:

I don't know what your degrees have to do with how much you pretend to know about AD posters and how much they give of their resources.

Where exactly did I make a claim of knowing how much any AD poster gives or doesn't give.

My response was to your direct statement: "That shows how little you know." Your remark was not specific to any particular topic.

Yes, it was. It was in response to your statement: "And, as we can see, people seem to be more concerned about the amount of money a President has donated and completely unconcerned about those who are suffering in their own communities."

It was untrue, so obviously it showed that you know little about what people are concerned about or how they show their concern by not only speaking out about what Presidents do but also by supporting local charities.

Why do you think that people who criticize a political figure can't also be concerned about their local communities?

I don't think anyone is boasting or complaining about giving in this thread. Merely showing and comparing the giving levels of various POTUS and VP, and what that might indicate about their character. It also shows how our leaders' giving compares with the giving of average Americans. Since they are "leaders" they should set high standards and good examples for us.

Vilify? Did I post anything untrue about Obama? Did I make excuses, lame or otherwise, for anyone?

What "complaint?"

If you go back and check the posts to which I was referrring those posts indicated exactly that. They were all about the amount a president was donating and not a word about the contributions to social causes in their own communities. The concern was all on the dollar amount of presidential contributions. That is not a charitable attitude. If people wish to be perceived differently, then perhaps they should take more care with their posts.

Again, I never said that both could not occur. It just hasn't become evident through the posts.

Vilify? Did I post anything untrue about Obama? Did I make excuses, lame or otherwise, for anyone?

The short answer to that would be "yes." In many and numerous threads.
