I agree. Two wrongs don't make a right. And for the record, I don't have a prejudice bone in my body. I believe that we are all humans and as such we are equal and should be treated equally. IMO.

Who said anything about accepting? I firmly believe in power of education - so the best way is to educate them, not insult. They will just insult us further and continue with their biased thinking of us.

Why dont YOU write them a letter, educating them and let them know that deaf people do want to participate on shows? FYI, I have no desire to particpate on tv shows but obviously you do, so why dont you do it yourself? :ugh2:

PS, You obviously forgot that we had a deaf participant on Survivor and Extreme Makeover - so what is your point now?

You know perfectly as well. Too many deafies already wrote the formal letters to Hollywood, TV Game producers, Congresspeople, etc. Nothing works for many years.

Why don't you write it? They would laugh and throw it into the wastebasket...

BTW, ABC's Home Extreme Makeover accepted the Deaf family's case. That does not mean they won on TV game show...

I told you that I am not interested in it. Why would I want to write when I have no desire to join their TV shows?

You are missing the point anyway - the POINT is that best way is to EDUCATE people, NOT INSULT them back.

ANyway, after reading through this entire thread, it is clear that you still do not know what audism really means. You just reinforced my feeling that most people still dont get it about audism. Go figures :deal:

I find that people who has no creativity or intelligence often resort back with a Whatever when someone provides a clear and concise point.

Kindly post the letter or website or whatever you received that stated he would not allow any deaf contestants on his show, when it was airing. If you can show me that proof, I will agree that it is unfair. Just so you know, I actually took the test to be on that show and it was HARD. I didn't make it all the way through the process. They weeded out ALL people without the proper amount of knowledge. Were you aware of that?

The side that makes NO insults of a racial or ethnic nature, towards ANYBODY. I'm flabbergasted that you think it's fine to call someone a "Jew salad boy," or whatever it was -- and I don't care if it's an inside joke or what -- whereas if I called you "deaf and dumb" you'd probably have me banned from the forum.

"Jew boy" is EXTREMELY insulting. You might as well say "kike." And I don't care who you are, I am firmly not on the side of people who say things like that.
