We bought a toaster and after the first month, the handle that you push down broke off. Luckily, the company replaced it free of charge. I called the 800 number and complained, they sent me a new replacement toaster and a return label with postage paid to send the defective one back. This was a Proctor & Silex.
MIL had bought a new "under cabinet mount" can opener and it quit after the first month and Black & Decker could care less. I now use my hand can opener. This hand opener has been going faithfully for the last 20 years. Wash it and once a week I spray the gears with non-stick cooking spray for lubrication and then, no problems.
This one I have is hand can opener also..
Ooh, my hand opener has all metal. I refuse to buy any of them with plastic.
Sick of the pics being posted on my FB wall of animals being abused. Made a mean FB status to those who constantly post these pics.
I get tired of them as well. Luckily, I do not repost or copy them onto my status. I figure, if the majority of them are not in my area, I don't need to bug all my friends about it. I have one old high school friend who posts a bunch of them, but she also works for the Humane Society here in our county, and then there is one person from AD who posts them about NY animals.
I plan on unfriending those who will still continue to post them after my ugly FB status I just put up.
0_0 Post what? I hope I wasn't unfriended.
Post pics of animals being tortured for the sake of spreading animal abuse awareness. I am all for supporting that but I dont want to see depressing pics of bloody puppies being hanged by teenager boys. That was the final straw when I saw that and now I know I wont sleep very well tonight obsessing over it. Pisses me off!

i am completely against animal abuse, but DON'T show me these gruesome pictures/videos.. i can't stand to watch poor innocent animals getting beaten
Maybe they should switch tactics and show pictures of the abusers... Caught. and the crimes they were found guilty of. Might be more effective in stopping animal abuse than showing pictures of abused animals.
I assume their goal is to stop animal abuse? If their goal is only to raise money, then I guess they are doing the right thing. (maybe they need to get their priorities straightened out?)
Just my 2 cents.
I have been fortunate enough to not have seen any of those animal abuse pics on my FB wall yet, and I hope to God I don't. They sicken me terribly. I dont even like the ASPCA commercials with the sad faces.
DeafTim, the box at my inlaws did the same thing. I called, and they said it was old, and replaced it for free because it was outdated. Maybe they will for you too )
