does anyone get that their ha sometimes sounds staticky:S
Yes, I'm aware of the bluetooth capability on SmartLink SX, however I didn't think I would need it anytime soon because I don't have a lot of devices that is capable of bluetooth. My computer has a bluetooth USB adapter, and my PS3 is capable of it too as well. That's it. I'm happy with using an audio wire to plug into my computer or the TV. After all, they are much lighter, better, easier to carry around than the FM systems from my childhood.
I felt that the basic set-up would be fine for me right now. So far, it is doing good. I paid around $269 all together for EasyLink and MyLink since the government paid for most of it along with a company rebate of $400.
Maybe someday I'll plunge down the cash for a bluetooth-capable device or whatever comes along in the future.
i think i shud keep my cat away from anything small period! she couldn't have stolen my fm tho it's in its case..somewhere..lol She ONLY stole my first una..i'm still on the 2nd! thank god! My mom wud killllll me if i lost it! cuz this time i won't get a free replacement!

With what you paid for it, it sounds real good. I had been worried about systems with cords that connect wirelessly to my aids, as in the past they kinda sucked. I am intrigued with the iCom, as I want to have some sort of stereo setup so I can listen to music, which does help relieve tension.......
I also use a bluetooth USB adapter from Iogear to do the same effect hooking to my Smartlink....I have a weakness for high technology as long as I can afford it, as well as whatever the govt. will actually give me.
hmm maybe i will get a dry and store...it is VERY humid where i live..maybe that wud help? ..lol
And i HOPE she doesnt turn into a big mouse..def a cat lol..last time i checked at least..lol but she right here and looks pretty cat like lol but who knows!
Oh, I'm pretty tech-savvy myself too as well. But they aren't related to hearing aids, that's for another discussion.
I may not even get anywhere with the replacement Naida until after I get back from NM. I leave next Wednesday and will be gone for about a week. Don't want to have to deal with the replacement naida if it's going to do funky things during the trip and not have access to my audie. rrr.
I went to see my audi yesterday for another hearing test and it looks like my hearing is even worse than the last audiogram we did. She adjusted the Naidas and now everything sounds horrific. I hate the sound of my voice, the sound of other peoples voices, the sound of everything. I hate it! It sounds the same, the like a monotone drone. I haven't put them on yet today because there are some serious feedback issues too. We thought we had solved that at her office but clearly we didn't. It is embarrassing when you are at the drugstore in the shampoo isle and the person next to you (who you don't know) asks you if you can hear the squeeling sound coming from your head.
Awww that really sucks! I'm sorry! I really never thought that the naidas, being new, would have this many problems. My audi told me in the beginning sine mine were new when i got them as well that there could be a few probs with fitting and such but I only had to go back twice so far to fix sound levels and some sounds i didn't like...I've never had feedback issues unless i have gone to lay down and forgot to take my ha off but usually i just dont really notice the whistling my bf does..but ya sorry your audiogram changed
dsghasdliug still no new earmold, and still no replacement hearing aid. But I did just call the office via relay. Informed the assistant of the software upgrade that solved the Naida turning off/muting issues, and she said she'd inform audie of it. it's been a MONTH since the impression was made and sent off, and a month since audie apparently requested for hearing aid replacement, and still nada. wow, talk about slow pokes. doy
