Pat Robertson: Haiti "Cursed" After "Pact to the Devil"

I guess its something like what Vin Diesel as Riddick would say...

Riddick: Think someone could spend half their life in a slam with a horse bit in their mouth and not believe? Think he could start out in some liquor store trash bin with an umbilical cord wrapped around his neck and not believe? Got it all wrong, holy man. I absolutely believe in God... And I absolutely hate the f***er.

... I said that I doubt even 50% would make it there. I gotta believe Pat has overhead expenses to consider. Very few charities pay out 100%. I just am of the opinion that Pat has much higher overhead than other charities. No proof; just opinion....
Not 100% but 99.1%.

Operation Blessing got a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator Rating.

Charity Navigator Rating - Operation Blessing International

Program Expenses 99.1%
Administrative Expenses 0.3%
Fundraising Expenses 0.5%

Any "stupid believer" only makes me want to leave Christianity sometimes... =/

That is more good enough to have a reason for refusing mention a name of the religion... Bah.

I guess you didn't read my post.

I do NOT support Robertson's theology.

I do NOT support Robertson's conclusion about the Haitian earthquake.

I do NOT support judging the motives of anyone providing aid to the Haitians, without clear, undeniable proof.

I do NOT suggest anyone send money to Robertson's ministry. I have not and would not send him any money.

There is plenty to criticize Robertson for without adding self-righteous judgment of his motives to the pile. If you think Robertson looks bad for judging the Haitian people, you should see how bad people look for judging Robertson's heart. It's not pretty.

Yup, I know about you don't support Robertson but you just made pointed out about him, such as organization that he supported, that all about I had seen and understand about how are you feeling.

There's crazy religious in anywhere but Christianity isn't just make problem by itself and you chose to be smart and good person to know.

I dont have a problem with my religion. It's only dumb asses I have a problem with.

It's not really about feelings but about the facts. It's only fair to get all the facts presented.

Personally, I think those who are not christians should not try to be christians. Not until they understand what make a person a christian. you can be raised as a christian, but you still won't be a christian. It's your faith that count. I find it hard for me to leave christianity over stupid believers. Just like people find it hard to stop caring about animals over PETA.

yes, Christians should know very well they are not perfect and should not bring God into it as if he have something to do with their sinful behavior.

Stroke her back, now lower. Good boy.
No need to Google anything. I have opinions. Google "opinions" and see what pops up.

Religion is like knowledge, power, and money. It can be used for good and for bad. Physics was used to fly Armstrong to the moon and it was also used to make the atomic bomb.

Don't blame Christianity for stupid people like Pat Robertson. Just blame Pat Robertson. Christianity is just the physics behind it, Pat Robertson is the atomic bomb.

Sorry, I'm not being clear. I felt so frustrasting about it, but I am still a part of the religion. My sentence was supposed to be "... makes me feel want to leave the Christianity sometimes" from my pervious post.

So I don't say I actually leave the religion for sure. :)

Sure, people might be judging him just a tad, but I think Pat Robertson has a proven track record here for which we can go on. People are not beyond their bounds AT ALL to say the things they are saying about him. Your little equivocation of
"If you think Robertson looks bad for judging the Haitian people, you should see how bad people look for judging Robertson's heart."
is just laughable. As if saying "Pat Roberton is a nutjob" is even on par with condemning a whole nation as satanists.

BTW, here's some information on good ol' Pat and his so-called "Operation Blessing."

From Wikipedia:
Operation Blessing airplanes were reportedly being used for Pat Robertson's personal mining venture. In 1997, two of Operation Blessing's pilots, Robert Hinkle and Tahir Brohi, told the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot newspaper that Operation Blessing planes were diverted to support Pat Robertson's diamond mining ventures instead of doing relief work in Zaire. At the time, Robertson had become a close friend of Zaire's dictator, Mobutu Sese Seko and had tried to lift the ban on Mobutu's visa to the US. A Robertson spokesperson said that the planes used were unsuitable for relief work.

An investigation by the Virginia Attorney General's office concluded that Operation Blessing "willfully induced contributions from the public through the use of misleading statements..." Robertson reimbursed US$400,000 to the charity and agreed to tighten its bookkeeping.

The citations are listed on the wiki page. There is a lot of other stuff on google about this as well.

Still want to defend him?

Pat Robertson needs to study the Lithosphere to get an understanding of what causes earthquakes.

Not defending Pat here but if you were to show him this he would still believe that God caused those things to happen as well.

I am sure Pat believes that God causes all things to happen. God is the one that caused him to use operation blessing resources for his own personal interests.

How have I defended him? I repeatedly posted that I don't believe the same way he does, nor do I give any support to any of organizations, nor do I encourage anyone to do so.

I posted the current status of Operation Blessing and you posted its past. So, everyone got two different perspectives on the organization.

It's interesting that you reference Wikipedia. I read the Wiki page about Operation Blessing, and most of it was positive. Personally, I don't rely on Wiki as an authoritative resource but it is a good jumping off point if one follows the citations.

I really don't know why you are so determined to "prove" that I support Robertson when I emphatically state that I do NOT. I find that many of his statements are harmful to the cause of Christ, so I certainly wouldn't promote them.

Even thou I may be a christian, but that doesn't mean I believe everything the bible says...they say Earth is abt over 6,000 years old as according to science, it is about 4.6 billion years old. Honestly, I actually have a hard time believing that part abt the 6,000 yrs old age...if you think hard about this, it just doesn't really make sense. Humans obviously existed more than 6,000 years ago. That's why I said that Pat isn't a fan of science and he's embarrassing himself by "preaching" his obsessed bible stuff that just don't make sense. All I know is that there is a God, but seriously..."the pact to the devil"? You absolutely have to be an idiot if you don't know how the earth quakes work.
