I did. Brown on brown. Also penny loafers.
I had brown on brown and black on white both. I didn't get to wear penny loafers until high school.:P

Yeah, and you needed those to walk to school 5 miles uphill each way. :PI had brown on brown and black on white both. I didn't get to wear penny loafers until high school.:P

In 5 ' of snow!:P
And we had it made, because our parents did three times as much!
My dad was still walking home when he was walking to school. He never had time to finish the trip until the weekend. No doubt. My dad had to walk 5 miles up hill both ways in the snow carrying 3 of his younger siblings piggy back.

My father always had to take the cow back home. For some reason "patches" would follow him to school. For a while he would just tie her out to the post, but then he had to start taking her home before he could go to class.
For the past few weeks, I've been seeing teenage girls wearing those very high heels with shorts and tops....(6-inch heels?)....Also, those very big hoop ear rings....little girls are growing up too fast!....Skimpy bathing suits at the pools also....
This isn't a new phenomenon...kids have been "growing up too fast" probably forever.Definately growing up to fast. And they don't have the emotional maturity to handle it. That is what is scary about it all.

Only the difference is, a lot of parents are actually letting their children dress like that these days.
Some are beyond letting, and are actually encouraging them.Only the difference is, a lot of parents are actually letting their children dress like that these days.
I don't like two-piece swimsuits for girls that show a bare midriff. Two-piece suits where the top piece overlaps the bottom piece is OK to me. (Easier for restroom use.) I prefer the ones with boy-cut bottom leg openings instead of high-rise side openings.I think they're known for their racy ads, right?
Anyway...I could be an old fogie here, but I oppose two piece swimsuits for young girls.

I guess that makes me even older fogier.
Hey, I used to wear bathing caps with chin straps at the beach and pool when I was young! (Heaven forbid a girl or woman get her hair wet!) Ugh! I used to get headaches and weird tan lines from those things.
But I digress....
