That's because it expired and the government couldn't keep the law abiding, so called good guys from buying the guns illegally.

It was around for 10 years. Good people don't buy guns illegally so I don't know where you're going with that.

Also my statements are based on experience. I have allot of experience in this feild. Be that chocking people out with their own cloths, (are cloths a weapon, guess not since they werent designed as weapons....wakey wakey.....tsk tsk..) .or being inside. Any screw, any cop, any con, knows by FACT any object can be a weapon...any....

Its not a philisophical statement...though it can cross with such.

Sorry, but a gun is a weapon and has always been one. When the Chinese made the first gun in the 13th century, they didn't make it as a piece of art to hang on the wall, they made it to kill someone or something and all the guns and firearms since have been developed and made for the same purpose. The hammer on the other hand was designed and manufactured to be used as a tool to build something through hammering nails, moving something into place or removing a misplaced nail, it wasn't until someone swung it in anger that it becomes a weapon.

If it's semi automatic or automatic or holds more that ten rounds IMO it should be banned.
 
You know. It doesn't bother me that you don't like guns or that you want to ban them. I know people that feel that way and I have no problem with that. I just wish you would say what you mean. What you want is a ban on all semi auto firearms and psychiatric screening to make sure non of us have Asperger or head injuries even at a prohibitive cost to the individual.

Why would you ban automatic? Non of these killers has used an automatic firearm.

So what does that change? They where used and designed as weapons for a lot longer than they where not. In fact many people used every day items such as scythes and pitchforks for war and killing. About 500 people a year are killed with hammers and clubs. I doubt the victims would care about the distinction.

That's old. Scythes and pitchforks are farm tool. U talking about people used tool as weapon during war time when they intent to harm someone that not general. Ask urself question what they use scythes for when there no war and killing thing? They cut hay? Huh? They use pitchforks for hay ? Huh? That's tool. What about today? People going say Hammer is a tool generally.
