USA still have low oil reserves than Saudi Arabia and I just provide an source to show you so check my post above.

Like I said, number is just estimate, not fact number.

.But it leaves out shale

Drilling in oil shale area is still legal in specified area

Exactly....thats what I meant by government being in the way. What did you think I meant
not same as offshore drilling

Not true, we are still not allowed to drill on Florida's east coast or on the California coast

State of California doesn't want allows oil drilling in their state, for Florida, it would be depends on cities or counties, I'm pretty sure about Miami-Dade County doesn't want have oil drilling either.

I'm against on oil drilling in protected area like wildlife or national park, also oil companies are responsible to clean their mess or take care of pollution issue if oil drilling ban is lifted so it wouldn't happen in many years.

Are you saying cities and counties......or even states are responsible for banning off shore drilling?????

No, I means if federal ban on oil drilling is lift (repeal) so it would up to state to make decision to allow or ban on oil drilling, also it does same with counties or cities.

Let remove the federal ban on oil drilling and let state to allow or ban, it would be good and more choice for state.

But people would be employed immediately. And it would be a long term solution.

I don't think states get a say.....but let's assume they do.

Do you really think California would give up the right to drill offshore given their financial situation??? That would help them with unemployment, tax revenue off goods sold plus state income tax and help with housing and office vacancies.

:lol:If the federal ban were lifted California would be partying like it was 1849.

it's because the rich people along the shores do not want the oil rig in their view

California is very liberal state so oil drilling is out of question, they have getting something to improve the financial situation and don't expect about oil drilling will be solely solve the issue.

No, federal ban on oil drilling has been existed for around 30 years.

California? I know a lot of people unaffected by this economy, thanks to their secret "cash" crops. Ah well.

Are you sure???

Not expanding drilling may cost U.S. $2.4 trillion | Reuters

:hmm:

What about ANWAR???? Is that a ban

What kind of ban did Bush end in 2008? Was that 30 years ago?

Well, California still don't want any oil drilling in their state, regardless on financial situation.

Oil drilling is restricted to some of offshore, especially in Texas and Louisiana coast, rest of them are banned, including ANWR and it has been existing for 30 years and none of administration has lift the restriction yet.

I don't support the oil drilling in ANWR, no way.

Oil drilling wouldn't make gas so cheap and look at Russia, they are oil rich country but gas is very expensive.

1) Have you polled California......or are you taking the word of 2 senators?

2) First you say there is no ban....the you say there is

3) No administration lifted a restriction??? You might want to google news from Sept.2008

4) No drilling in ANWR??? Well then don't say we are not oil rich.....say we have it but don't want to use it

5) Russia is one of the most corrupt countries on the planet.

Oh.... I already answer your question so time for me to repeat at one more time.

California is very liberal state, it has nothing with senators and I know about they don't want oil drilling in anytime. I believe it should be up to other state to make decision.

There's no ban on oil shale but just limited in specified area and federal ban on oil drilling is in most of offshore, exception of Texas and Louisiana and any protected area like ANWR or Yellowstone National Park, it has been existing for 30 years.

Hell no, I wouldn't let oil companies to drilling in ANWR or protected area and it has nothing with oil rich country.

That's your opinion, government in Russia is far better than government from communist China.

And how exactly do you know that California doesn't want to drill?

But earlier you said there were no bans

Oh but it does. This started over whether or not we are oil rich....We are, just some people don't want to drill where it is

That's your opinion, government in Russia is far better than government from communist China

True it is my opinion (and many others) that the Russian government causes gas prices in Russia to be high.
