Oh no, but at least you werent stuck with the place! Apartment hunting can be a real pain in the ass, but you do need to be picky because this is where you will be living for the next x-length of time.

Keep trying mate, whats for you won't go by you. :D

Need to find the perfect apartment for me though. It will take time, unfortunately. But I will keep you all updated with my news ;)
 
Update:

Ok back to square one. My friend has told me earlier today that he turned down his girlfriend friend's offer and told them that I asked for it first. So now, this time, the studio apartment which I mentioned at the first place is now confirmed and mine. The offical date in AEST is March 2nd. :)

Yes I agree, for starters go to second-hand store to get the things you will need and you can always buy a good one later on because you just never know what you will get for your birthday or Christmas from your family and friends...you can always tell them what you need and throw away the old ones...

And for that computer issue, I am glad you wait because you just never know when you will need to take care of the other issues, like budget for one.

Enjoy your first apartment and freedom. First time living alone in a new place will feel weird at first, I am warning ya like you will wonder if the Boggeyman is under your bed, or any ghosts hiding behind the closed door, lol then you will get used to it...Again, good luck Jake!!!
 
23 days to go.... and yet a lot of stuff to pack. Oh boy...

I know and I don't intend to hire movers to move my stuff. I have a station wagon which it'll do my moving as saving my $$ over it. ;)
 
Packing can be in pain in the ass, yupp.. When I move first time, I have to move whole of my stuff, my couch, dinner table, coffee table, shelves, etc whole myself, I even decorate inside the house whole myself, but I am very happy because I feel like that place is my really home because I did whole of the work for that home :)

good luck with it! we may be moving before the year is out if not sooner, the floor is starting to fall through here, I already fell in a whole on the front porch from rotted porch floor!
 
Congrats and wtg. Now you don't have to worry to keep looking for other apartments. It great your friend did turned down turned down girlfriend's friend as you did asked first.

It not very long for ya to move to new place soon.
