I know, I checked and found out that 'Canberra' isn't on the list and we don't have craig's list for canberra residents, unfortunately.

Oh well... just pick a city that is very close to your hometown and go from there! :D

Hey Jake,

Good luck with moving out of your parent's nest :)

Make sure you have kitchenware, towels, linen, cleaning products, and of course stuff like DVD's etc to keep yourself entertained on those lonely nights lol

Get a computer a few months after you've settled in your place - make sure you have plenty of money on hand for rent, groceries, bills and stuff like that.

Once again, good luck!

Best wishes with the move. What are doorknob devices you mentioned?

Wish ya good luck moving to a new home soon. Sounds like ya got it sorted with things ya need. :)

Good Luck!!! ;)

Number one .. Kitchen supplies! :)

Peace,
Phillips

Wishes you have new experience your own living and foods too..
Good Luck!
I've been there when I was 16 yrs old and my own living.. wow amazing worth my throughout experience... Love it!

Good luck Jake, I wish you the very best.

Good luck on moving out. You are starting over and growing up in a new apartment away from your family madhouse. Just make sure you are comfortable and love your own apartment, otherwise if not, you will have to start looking for another apartment. :giggle: That is great. I hope you have everything you need like all the ADers that gave you to remember to bring them to your new home. We will miss you or wait for you at your family's home until you get a computer of your own. Way to go, JClarke. Have fun with it. :h5:

. The Second hand store is a great place to go! Yard sales too. You find a lot of neat stuff cheaper.

I agree, was going to say that until I saw your post. :giggle:

Good luck Jclarke!!

Thanks everyone for the wishes. :D

Bebonang -- in bold above, there is nothing for you and the others to worry about, I will be still around AD.com, everyday, as I have internet access at work. But I will let you all know when I am on AD.com from my apartment :D

Once again, thanks everyone! ;)

Good Luck.... you have to stick to your budget... It wont be easy but once you stick with the budget you will be fine...

I was going to post the same advice as sxyporkie, she beat me to it :giggle: Learn to budget:)

I don't know, you'll have to check it out send them an email or something I guess, it is just an idea I had that hubby mentioned. I hope thye work for yu though!

I have lived in 450 sq ft studio for over a year and half before moving into a house with my roommates.

I'd strongly recommended that you buy a FEW high quality pots and pans. Having too many will take up precious space you have. Don't forget to save space for all of your alcohol (if you drink) and all-purpose cleaning products. That way you'll save more money and space.

Buy small furniture that will fit into the studio. If it's too big, you're screwed. Furniture arrangement is so important, believe me. You could try to have imaginary separate spaces for living room, bedroom, and work space.

Oh, ahems, don't forget to buy some "protection" just in case.

Cheers!
