Mexican Officials Point Rifles and threaten U.S. Border Agents

why not? Its an opportunity to serve your new country after all .... and since you are so critical of the Border Patrol's ROE, here is a chance to influence some real change. I am sure they would much rather listen to someone with experience .....

Being in Border Patrol is not a requirement nor proof of patriotism. I am critical of Nicholas Cordett's judgment, not Border Patrol.

Influence some real change? In case you didn't know - the "real change" is usually made by somebody higher ups who usually have never served in field and also is usually influenced by the citizens' outspoken opinions.

I serve my country by being an outspoken, educated, tax-paying voter. I don't believe in blind patriotism. Neither do patriots. In case you don't remember - DLA approached me. I kindly declined. Sorry but I've got bills to pay. Beside - I work for those who train & license the professionals to work for government :)

Then tell that to the blind Mexican patriots that were pointing their rifles at MY country's border patrol agents.

They were doing their duty. The Mexican officials were not ... especially when they allowed their citizens to break the law by crossing over.

Your starting to sound a lot like you stand with Mexico.

Then explain why Americans, Canadians, British, Australians and so on are outraged when their own citizens are arrested or treated harshly in a foreign nation... whose laws they broke?

Well I am all for it.....remember years ago when the guy got caned? He deserved it. When in Rome yada yada yada

The only thing I say is make sure it was a legitimate offense. But if they did what they are accused of they should pay the price.......If they can't live with that they shouldn't visit that country.

Please state the post # of my support for Mexico officials to point guns at us.

I don't blame them getting all angry cuz a Mexican national especially a boy was just gunned down by American. We would react same. Ever seen what cops did to cop killer?

Just thought I would drop by with a fascinating link; it seems quite relevant to this thread. Enjoy! Warning, very non-politically correct.
Border patrol game

Mexican President Felipe Calderon said Tuesday that his government "will use all resources available to protect the rights of Mexican migrants."

The government "reiterates its rejection to the disproportionate use of force on the part on U.S. authorities on the border with Mexico," the president added in a statement.

U.S. authorities said Tuesday a Border Patrol agent was defending himself and colleagues when he fatally shot the 15-year-old as officers came under a barrage of big stones while trying to detain illegal immigrants on the U.S. side of the Rio Grande.

FOXNews.com - US-Mexico tensions heightened after US Border Patrol agent kills Mexican teen near El Paso

let me ask you this - after arresting the illegal (the one that Border Patrol agent was detaining)... what happens next? processed and released back to Mexico, yes?

That is a good question, I don't know.

I take it that you are ill-informed in border law and policy?

Nice try ... the video did not show what happened to the person who was detained. All it showed was that while the Border Patrol was arresting him, he was assaulted, he then defended himself from the assailants and killed one of them.

Then, the video stopped and a commentary started where a Mexican man claimed the "children" were just playing near the river and throwing rocks at the river.

 so now you're saying you know? so tell me what is the typical procedure after capturing typical illegals.

I think your confused .... you are trying to claim that the U.S. Border Agent was wrong, and the Mexican Government is right.

You also made a claim that you would never shoot a 15 year old in an earlier post.

I was babysat by men who shot at children daily during the Korean War. Only because they were being shot at by children.

let's focus in here, shall we? Again - what is the typical policy after capturing a typical illegal?

right. I don't believe in Disproportionate Use of Force. If you want to go ahead and shoot the boy, go ahead. At least I'm not a child killer unless he is shooting at me.

so was this Border Patrol agent being shot at by 14 years old boy?

He was being attacked with a deadly weapon. The children were not playing.

Do a google search on unusual deadly weapons. Frog? Pumpkin? Banana?

A large stone can certainly kill someone.

what is the typical policy after capturing a typical illegal? does anybody know?

I don't see any large stone there. Do you?

Yes. Even the person who was filming the video stated it.

Keep in mind, the U.S. Border Patrol said they have a video of it. That one has not been released that I know of. They used the exact same strategy in the Corbett Federal Trial (which proved the witnesses were lying).
