You fall to comprehend racism is alive and well among many Americans. Obama's election as president really brought them out of the woodwork too. Again, a bunch said they would move to Canada if elected. Unfortunately they didn't follow up on that commitment.

As an Atheist, I would love to see it removed from all government use. Including out currency. I don't trust in imaginary fairytale friends and in an American citizen.
 
IMO, in all former slave (South) states, there should be public votes. In the back of my mind, where a lot of blacks live in the South, they will not favor this flag. So what is the point?

Pardon me, is it legal for Neo-Nazi supporters who are mostly skinheads to fly the Nazi flag in public? I haven't seen one flying in the USA. Have you? If no, why the hell can't they fly it? The public doesn't allow it.

In other words, people speak out. If there are more votes against this flag, there's nothing you can do except obeying a new law.

My deaf black ex co-worker told me that many black people won't forget about slavery in the South. When they see this flag, they look at it as the South still doesn't respect their freedom.
 
Anyway, don't be a crybaby when this flag is no longer allowed in public. All you can do is accept the change. It's very easy to do so you can move on. Keep this stupid flag inside your home about which the government can do nothing. 4 millions slaves in the South, OMG!

Seriously? If all through history people did this "just accept the change", the landscape of the world would be a HELL of a lot different.

If we had accepted that "Oh well there's a new rule in Germany" when the Third Reich came to power, things would not be as they are today. People refused to accept that and fought it. So... no people don't HAVE to accept any changes, they maybe will TOLERATE it (if that) but doesn't mean they have to accept it and kowtow to changes that doesn't make sense (or to people like you CP).

I believe it is legal to fly a nazi flag if thats what you wish to do. Ive seen vids of neo nazi rallies.where they do march with it. And the rallies are protected by police.
It is their right.

I dont know what america you live in, but banning the showing of the confederate flag in public isnt even being considered.
The issue is id federal buildings shoukd fly it..
Not wether it is legal to show in public or not.

My bad, no he forgets about the slavery but his people won't. His brothers, grandma, friends and so forth. He was in a black gang one time. He was almost brainwashed to kill white people due to slavery. He was smart enough to get out of those sh*ts to get a Postal job.
 
One thing that will never change is 1st amendment. People will still be free to fly any flags in public.

Well....gotta admit...kind of sad when people can't move on....A relative was raped by a black man...but she's moved on...my mother was murdered...but I've moved on....

Good he has a Postal job....and got out of the gangs...that's an accomplishment...so he's "got smarts"....so he moved on....but...is still listening to the old, old, old stories by his grandma....Not likely he will change her mind and vision due to her age...

I don't know if you saw one popular deaf black vlogger who made vlogs about the craps toward white people. I forgot his screen name. However, he pointed out that he won't forgive white people for what they did to black slaves. Everyone told him to forget the past but he won't. Guess what? He's not the only one. There are millions like him. So what do you say to them?

I agree, they do have to let this go. It's been 100 years since blacks were made slaves.

Today's white don't own any slaves and today's black aren't slaves. That happened 100 years ago. When is it gonna be let go?
